Mixing high-octane with supreme petrol

i read somewher here on pw that a member used hi octane exclusively in his civic or city n the catalytic convertor got choked after 12k mileage as its believed it has sulphur contents which 1 of the anti knocking properties.so 1 shouldnt use it in local civics??

I hope you read the links i post above apart from that ECU in new civic and city wont read hi-octane and also compression ratio is not enough to get max out of hi-octane.

yep - all petrol here is 90 RON and after blending with HOBC at 1:1 comes up to 98 RON

to the guy referring to the new civic - fill up with petrol and do 2 driving cycles of 20 kms each - your engine ecu will "understand" the fuel quality and adjust injection and ignition timing itself

Xulfiqar , i was asking pure rating of High octane ! not what its at when blended with super ..!
On a side note i am running a high boosted 4efte ..and my tuner recommended to run only high octane ...

All true....If u have deep pockets then fill the tank with Hi-Octane only....It helps in acceleration and mileage to an extant also.

agreed with wonderguy,i do that as a habbit,one tank of normal fuel thn one tank of hioctane,also helps to keeo the injectors clean
