Dear PW members,
For the summer 2012, MJC was planning the trip to Neelum valley. In the mean while “LIBRA” the great called me and informed that this year he is planning to come Muzaffarabad and beyond to Neelum Valley to celebrate 9[SUP]th[/SUP] anniversary of Pakwheels. So we invited him and his companions to join MJC group for Neelum Valley Trip.
Thanks to LIBRA that he accepted our offer and plan was finalized as follows;
Day 1: From Muzaffarabad to Sharda through Kutton, Karan etc.
Day 2: From Sharda to Kel to Shonter Valley and back and then to Taobut
Day 3: From Taobut to Muzaffarabad
Plan was to let the guests to see the real beauty of “Kashmir Jannat Nazeer”. Driving, camping, cooking, photography and most important the site seeing.

Day 1: July 12, 2012
Left for Neelum valley at 7a.m from Muzaffarabad. First Stay at Noseri Nosada for tea. Next Stop over was HEB Rest House at Kutton for lunch. Spend some time there then we left for Karan for site seeing. Spend some time at Karen and leave for Sharda. Reached Sharda in the evening. Camped there and did Bar-B-Q in the night.
Day 2: July 13, 2012
Left for Kel in the morning. Had a brief stay there for tea and had some info about Shonter Valley. We were informed that a bridge on the way was washed out so we can’t reach Shonter Valley. So we headed towards Taobut. Reached there in the afternoon, camped there and did some roaming around for site seeing and photography.
Day 3: July 14, 2012 The return day
We left from Taobut in the morning after breakfast. Stayed for a while at Kel the then headed towards Sharda. It was raining most of the time on the way to Sharda from Kel. Just before Sharda Bazar we saw a big tree has fallen on the road thereby blocking it. The time was 3p.m. We parked the jeeps besides and waited for clearance, army men came and they tried to remove the tree with blasting, they tried 3 times but nothing happened and they announced that the road will open in the morning. We locked our jeeps there and walked towards Sharda Bazar and stayed there in a hotel.
Day 4: July 15, 2012
Road was cleared by the bulldozer by 9 am. We took our rides and left for Muzaffarabad after breakfast. Hosted a farewell desi lunch at Marco polo Restaurant in the honor of LIBRA & Co. at Pattika. Reached back Muzaffarabad at 4p.m.
