Mobil 1 Engine Oil 0w40 and 5w50

Aoa... I've Toyota Passo 2011 model 45k milage please help me in choosing best engine oil?
I'm using 0w40 Petromin and now Shell Helix.
Now i want to use Mobil 1, tell me which grade is best for my car 0w40 or 5w50?

Already using wrong grade oil...
0w-30 or 5w-30 was best
But as you're already using thicker one switching to thinner can cause harm to engine so 0w-40 is good for your car

Never ever go for 5w-50.. It will ruin engine life and you will get maximum 10-12 km/L And power will be lost...

So i should not now use thinner oil like 5W30?
Keep using 5w40?

You can switch back but there's a risk
Some times engine starts to burn oil if we use thinner oil after using thicker one for more than 10k kms
So I won't suggest you to do that...

As he's using thicker oil from a long time
It might cause wear and tear to engine and maybe engine starts to burn oil..
Any solid reason to go back?

And also go for fully synthetic oil.. It will reduce the effects of using thicker oil and will improve engine life and performance..

Oil change history since car in my use. It was fresh import
Petromin 5W40
Petromin 5W30
Shell Helix 5W40

Switch to 5W30 as soon as possible
It won't cause any wear to engine if you switch to thinner before 10k kms

I just used liqui moly, kixx and Mobil 1 oil...
I suggest you to go with anyone of this
Liqui moly or Mobil 1 are best
You can get anyone of these from metro cash and carry..

5W-30 fully synthetic available in both and 5w40 also available
Go for 5w30
You will feel the difference

There is absolutely no harm if you even switch to 0w40. The first number is the viscosity of the oil. So 0 will be thinner than 5. And the number after w shows the temperature range (not thickness ot viscosity)

5w-30 not suitable in summer weather like in lahore temperature almost reaches to 48 to 50 therefore only best thing u can do is
Use of 5w-40 fully synthetic oil
API SM or above API SN is much much better

Another thread ...going on and on...grade se ziada oil time per change kerna important hau
