I recently switched my mobil oil to mobil super 1000 (basic varrient of mobil1) and im not satisfied with the fuel consumption. Before these i was using fully syenthic oil of total petrol pump 7000km
For car corolla 2017 and cultus 2014 euro2.
Facing same issue in both cars. Before switching i was very much satisfied with fuel consumption of both these cars. And performance.
Reason of changing the oil . One of my frnds recommended that fully synthetic oil is not for these local made cars... and that synthtic oil even never changed its colour after 7000km . While this oils turns dark after 2000 km's. What should be done? Should i switch back. Or continue this.

When the oil didnt go dark after 7ooo km's the frnd was like " oil apna kam hi nahi kr raha kam karega to dark hoga na" tm usko uski need k mutabik oil dalo. And i was like also happy kyun k 4200 walla kaam mera 2500 me ho raha tha. Or mobil one ka name tha.... but im like not satisfied with the performance and consumption bohat.... sometimes like motorway pr 120 pr hi ghut jati hy....

If you want to save money and you are already using a w30 oil, go for PSO 5W30, it's cheaper than Total. Try it in one of your cars and use Total in the other, if you are satisfied with PSO then you can opt for it in both cars.

And don't listen to your friend about synthetic oils, his mother dropped him on his head when he was a child.

U should switch back. Any local brand works great. Total,zic and shell would be my choices. Fully synthetic shell helix or total 9000 would be very good for ur cars.

Nai wo aapne bola 4200 k mazay 2500 mai, to mai samja mera he koi paise bachane wala bhai hai. Phir aap total pe wapis ajae jis se aap satisfied the.

then use total quartz 9000 5w30 in ur corolla and any good 10w40 in ur cultus

pso carient 5w30 is awesome oil its fully synthetic. it cost around 3000 to 3100.

What is this motor flush used for?

lf your engine is old and have dirt inside it with thick layer of carbon then this is used for engine flushing. i used this in my corolla which k bought

It is just one of the myths, nothing else.

In general, oil is supposed to change its color. If it does not change its colour even after driving for 7,000 Kms, then it should put one in suspicions and oil may be fake.

I have recently changed engine oil in my car, and its color has slightly changed in even 60~70 Kms of driving after oil change. How come that engine oil's color remained the same after even 7,000 Kms?
