Mobile Gimbal or Action Camera

Hi. I'm in confusion whether to buy an action camera or just a good mobile gimbal. My requirement is:
Stabilised videos shooting while riding the bike and driving the car.
Is action camera always needed for a stabilised video shooing on the go? Or a premium mobile gimbal can also be mounted on car's dashboard and on Bike for stable video making? Anybody having experience of both plz provide pros and cons of both.

Which cell phone do you have? Now a days most of the cell phones are coming with image stabilization and doesn't require a gimbal. It's totally a waste, but for bike riding or car driving I'd recommend you a good action camera. It all depends in your budget Currently I'm using Insta360 Ace Pro for bike trips and result is impressive.

I have Redmi Note 8 Pro at the moment. It doesn't have proper image stabilization. If I do post editing by 3rd party apps, videos get distorted.
Action cameras are good to go. What's your experience of Insta 360 Ace Pro? How do you compare it to DJI Osmo Action 4 and GoPro Hero 12?

I am using same cell phone from last 5 years. It's a good phone but OIS only works at 1080P/30FPS.
Never used DJI only had a GoPro Hero 8 for a year and quality was great. ACE Pro is something else you can't compare it with other current available options.

I had the same confusion a while back and ended up checking a few comparisons on gigwise.com—it helped me figure out what would suit my usual use. I mostly record while walking or biking, so stabilizing footage was key for me. Just check how each option handles low light too, that made a big difference in my case.
