To add on, why not a petrol engine from the Y series (2Y, 3Y). These engine will fit as well in Mutt, what is the advantage with diesal? I would say you are almost at par with diesal, as maintenance is high on them compare to pertol. The only thing would be is he engine cost?

Yes 3S & 3Y both are good solutions as well, but i like the sound and the torque of the diesel motor..

Problem free water fording is another advantage...

Sir thanks... pls confirm about 2CT swap.. doest 2CT also dont requires body lift? @arif bhai.. thank you for your inputs.. i would be thankful if you can share pictures of chamber and spacers of the said rig.... moreover sir,,, what about that contact of parts? what does he say? can he deliver em in Multan?

Kamran Bhai, As requested I have attached pictures of the front lift of engine bay for sitting down 2C Turbo engine. In picture 1 you can see the spacer between the chasis and body, picture 2 u would see 4 spacers, so there are 4 bolts on each side which have been placed with spacers. 4 on left and 4 on right side, you can hardly see the difference on the body. I tried to take the chamber pictures 3, but not to great. Pic 4 is foundation and 5 is complete engine setting. You would notice that the original Air filter is sitting on its own place with a little adjustments on the engine side.

The guy has painted it with the lighter beige shade (Matt) which is almost similer to the Amarican colour. If you can see my one it is darker (Beige/Camal) colour. Did you manage to speak to Tahir for the required parts?

Word around town is that Tahir is a big rip-off. Since you have dealt with him, what are your views ?

yes ive talked to Mr. Tahir and have tied up with him for parts delivery... i am waiting for a response from my mechanic regarding complete minor major list of parts so that we may order them at once.

Yes, only and only applicable Govt charges. Nothing under the table stuff as I went and had it registered myself. As far as I know they are no charges for the verfication.

No idea on the FJ40. Have you bought that one ?

Kamran Bhai, registration is a hassle. Getting the dam thing verified from Army and then at the excise office. Make sure you have some one at the excise office first, depnding where you want to register. I have heard that it has become expensive 20 to 40K. I have renewed my road tax, cost me 6000. Please update us on FJ40, I am on the look my self. Any deal for exchange with 151, I am ready.

Sarmad, I have not dealt with Tahir, two of my macanics gave me his contact number to get in touch. I believe he may be a bit expensive, but what else can you do if parts are required. As you know stuff is short and most of the jeeps which I have seen recently are with allot of stuff missing. I was very lucky when I got mine, as three jeeps were picked up from COD directly, one was mine. Only thing I did at the time was to put battries. Everything is original and in working order. I would suggest new buyers to look for jeeps maximum stuff.

For the engine conversion (petrol to diesal) I think he charges around 5000, if I am not mistaken. will confirm

The guy to whom i am dealing has 3-4 FJs and a good looking unimog as well...

one FJ as you may have seen in my previous pics is now droped down till 270k. Good Condition but require a complete engine overhaul.

the other 3 are beaten down somehow but cheap as well.. i am trying to get one from 225-250k lets see.

ive a meeting with him after iftar.... will update you accordingly...

270 + an overhaul, looking at something like 350 package, if we put in the orignial brand new stuff. Convert to power steering would be another 15 down the pocket.

Which one are you going for ? the beat one or this one ?

Bro,,,,, I am not interested in the so called tip top one.... he has made it to attract from its outer looks..... Although i never knew that an overhaul would take 80k .... no man not this one...

i am interested in the beaten down.... as i have observed that its otherwise fine , however some cosmetic work is required .... body is impressive,, all original shape... not a pin size rust even...

yar,, i have not seen the unimog in day light as i have visited his yard at night.... and i have not shown the interest as well...

but seems like a cheap one,, it has ambulance cabin installed on it... asking was also not high.. he was asking 300 k.. but can get it something between 225k to 250k i guess...

my mechanic has confused me.....

now he says that dont go for the simple 2c or 2ct... lets swap it with a 2002 diesel not sure that is it 2c or 2d but its a RWD... local guys call it a phool wala engine....

installed a housing on it at tapit cover like a flower...

what do you guys suggest?
