You mean to say the Oil Pressure guage ? Well it tells you how your engine oil is doing within the engine. When the engine is cold the pressure is a bit high, as the oil is thick, when it heats up to optimum levels it normalizes. So don't worry if the needle is high up on a cold engine.

But If the pressure needle goes beyond half in a hot engine, then it means that you are putting too much pressure on the engine (high revs) & that it might damage a few things like seals etc.

I did planned to change it, but same has been dropped after getting feedback from the friends. I am attaching few Yellow stickers on the door, number plate on bonnet and two stanleys @ the front to give it a private look.

Furthermore, Pak Army only used Green & light green camoflage on UNIMOG, so all other colours are very much legal. By the way I saw a newly restored CJ-5 yesterday as per original specs, the guy painted it Dark Grey with Matt finish, it was looking great & if Shah Sb. can afford to deploy a guy to wash his FJ daily than take this punga

Basharat, deploying a guy is not a problem. I think if it did not work out, I can put a coating of laccur spray, to give it the shine.

Sarmad, I have seen one in 16" with the edge in chrome and the middle normal buffed. Almost which can be seen in the picture Kamran has sent. I am planning to go for Matt with fine finish, color to be decided.

I will have to change the tranny..... current one has got issues in 4x4 shifting and its very noisy too...

Previous owner did not serviced the tranny properly....

Managed to get an untoched gear box after long search .... Got it from Lahore today... Being installed.. lets see whats the performance:

Did you open up your tranny to see what the issue was ? What problems did you encounter shifting the 4x4 transfer ?

Ys... someone hit the central gear shaft badly,, to open the gears for cleaning and lubrication,,,, which damaged the resulting leakage in housing and meshing with other gear teeth...

there was a huge play in gears because some of the gear locks were also broken.

Beyond repair I guess or rather too tedious. Good that you got hold of a stock tranny.

Yar to me.. it was beyond repair .. although my mech offered me to do that but,, i beleive that tranny is the back bone of the rig.. if its damaged then nothing more to loose.....

Lets see how new one perfroms..

Agree, too much hassle to rebuild and then in the end one finds out that a single part is not available.

Look at the bright side, you can use serviceable parts from this one on to the new one, if required.

I hve read TP-20 written on mutt fenders by army.... 20PCI should be done?
