what is the average on suzuki carb
and which model carb ur using
i have restored the orignal carb with new kitt and jets it is giving me 1 litre 12km.
engine sound is very low if in idle you cant tell it is start or not
one more thing i have put in the hino truk generator 24 volts and 15 amp only not putting any load on the engine like the orignal one.

Okay so I have a question. I have already restored a cj 5 bought from an army auction.
I want to restore a mutt but I have a few questions.

1. Can I find them from army auctions in a condition that i can restore them in with minimal body rust and cracks etc.

2.differential problems: from what I gather a lot of issues with the differentials, are their any other differentials that will fit the mutt, like the rocky jeep etc.

1. Are all mutts with the pak army left hand drives? and would that be changed without killing the originality of the jeep as in the dash etc.

Havent checked the fuel avg, as long as it works well (no missing, overs etc)
I use a Suzuki Potohar Carb with a fabricated return line.

The avg you are getting is pretty good. Just hope it stays that was as the Zenith is known to start misbehaving with the slightest bit of impurities etc.

Hino and / or Toyota LC 24 volt gens work good on the Mutt. Though, the original can be repaired.

Not technically Karachi, but this is between Isa & Ibrahim Goth short of Gadani, Balochistan.
Its called Hub Beach.

Instead of taking the main highway to Hub, we took the back roads from Mauripur to get to Isa Goth, leaving behing the HUBCO Power Plant by about 25kms or so.

2) Aaaaahh! Diffs. My favourite (H). I'd say any diff maybe fitted on to the Mutt, how I can't say, but Its not something thats not possible.
As for closest match, then the ratios and housing of those of Mercedes 200 series are the ones.
Janj here at PW has Suzuki diffs on his Mutt. Someone has Pajeros on.

3) All 'Made in USA' items are 'ultta' ... thus all MUTTs are LHD. So in my opinion if you change that you ARE killing the originality of the whole thing.

As for my location that is up for debate, I am living in karachi these days, study in manchester, moving to islamabad.

Which place in pakistan do u reckon has the most potential to buy a good one. I recall when i restored my cj 5 i bought it from pindi. city saddar road has most of the things one would need. I went to quite a few junk yards didnt see mutts just willys and cj 5s.

Hmm diffs are a problem, i am not about to put fruit in my diffs to stop them from making noises and lhd is an issue because of highway driving.

Lets see I will goto pesh in a week or two after the flooding issue is under control, they have quite a big market equal to shershah for just car parts.I know quite a few mechanics who deal only in jeeps down them ends and ask them what they are using.

I have seen some nice MUTTs here in Karachi (Old Golimar) and in Lahore. They have been relatively new lots. Isl/Rwp have old stock lying and thus they bear lots of damage/rust.

Highways are dual carriage mostly + I doubt you'd venture out alone on them so the passenger can be a good spotter.

as for carb zenth are one of the best if u or ur mechanic know how to set them for good performance putt one main filter and one bike filter for fuel lines in take and use orignal keif shape american filter in the tank when refiling it comes with the jeep it is inside fuel tank shape like a cone if u
