Aaah, I wish they would do that & with those that were burnt down in Peshawar. If, recovered, these shall be handed back to NATO & you all know what they'll do to 'em.

I have heard that there is one HUMVEE of military specs in D.I.Khan, some guy got it from Kuwait & then restored it to the orginal specs. I have only heard about it here in Karachi, maybe Qaisarani can comment on it being seeing.

I have been thinking of snorkel for sometime now & the last time out in water I was a bit hesitant in taking it deep. So, yesterday I got a 3inch rubber hose from the truck supplier and went on with trying out a home made one.

The top is a normal 3inch PVC elbow joint with a inner shield for debris.

Total cost. 150 (hose) + 80 (elbow) + 20 (steel clip)=250/-

I still need to ride it and check out how it performs & whether i'm loosing out on any HPs. The bow marker light on the fender presses the hose a bit & I fear restiction to air flow. I'd say the project is still in its infancy state.

Also the PVC top is just sitting there & I need to secure it to the rubber hose, wonder if PVC cement will bond the two or samad bond, any ideas.....

Since I drive with the screen folded down, I didnt want to replicate the normal fording kit + the jerry can on the side restricts the pipe going further up, as in the fording kit.

I dont trust the seals of the fuel tank, so I'm not dipping it in water deeper than 40 inches, as advised for by the manufacturer for all M825s. THEY ARE NOT MEANT FOR DEEP WATER FORDING

.... with other things added to the MUTT & the screen down it should look good, eventually B-)

Once I have it up & secured in place I'll post a pic & the yuor votes on whether to keep it or loose it.

I basically want it to rest on top of the bow marker light, but the technical problem in that is the higher the number of bends, the greater the restriction of air flow.

The bow light is placed such that a full 3inch pipe doesn't come out without obstruction. Another thing could be to replace the bow light with the intake, something different than replacing it with a fog light as most people do. Lets see.

don,t go in the water , deeper then 40 inches.
i think 40 inches deeper water is enough for offroading.
