i was wondering how can we enhance our mutts offroading capabilities in terms of low and high ratio gears when 4x4 engaged.
i was to the point that can we fix sj410's 4x4 gear in our mutts to have high and low.

a) will that benefit us by any means ?
b) can we fix it ?
c) how can we do that ?
d) if none of the above is possible than what can we do

any ideas.

My mutts radiator was leaking, and i think i have fried up the engine. The jeep got heat up, i noticed it when it stopped on the road, although i drove only like 2k in total, but i guess there was no water at all in the radiator. I instantly put water in it while it was still start and cooled it off. But it started making this knocking noise. Any idea what it is ? is it just the gasket or the engine is baked ??

u shouldnot put the water let it to be cool down by it self now i think ur gas kit is crossed and there is water in one of ur cylinder so why its knocking now better get it overhauled

Hi my name is baios from Greece!!! I also have a m151 a2 and want tochange the original engine due to high price of gasoline here...so i want to put a diesel engine that will need less modification with the original transmission and transfer case .Also want to know if the toyota 2c diesel engine has enough power to drive my mutt!!! The original engine has 70hp and about 172Nm of torgue in 1800RPM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So does that engine has torgue so low RPMs??? What other option should i go???? Someone here told me that also isudu diesel engines are ok!!!! There is one isuzu( not know the type that has 110hp and a lot of torgue) Any ideas THANKS

Hey Baios, how are you ? Good to see you here. How are things at the G?

Well, I'd say you came to the right place for a conversion question. The G838 guys would kill you for this
As for your query, the 2C is just marvelous with the original transmission and differentials. I say so because I had a conversion done for a friend on his MUTT.
One thing to note and and alter is the oil sump of the 2C. It makes the engine sit high, so you either put a scoop in the hood or simply fabricate the oil sump in a way that it all sits at the original height.

Unfortunately, hat not come across an Isuzu engine conversion here.
