Modifications needed in Mark X for drifting and Fun?

Must be different Rohan Saed then. Launching a Grande well is next to impossible. Even i gave Grande trouble till 100 in 1.3 City.
Moreover for drifting in Lahore id suggest going to phase 7-8. On weekends there are already car meetups and the place where most drag races happen is near Raya and not a lot of houses. Phase 9 near askari 11 is also amazing but the roads are mostly straight. Phase 6-8 have the best roads in Lahore period.

Yes sometimes, since that's what most mark x owners are willing to do. Although some people although some people do drift them at roundabouts but not for very long. I for one think the 4GR is underpowered and the since the car has no LSD power slides would be something that most mark owners would be comfortable with other than defeating turbo Civics in a drag.

I agree. I'm also torn between a KE70, Cressida or JZX Chassis for a rwd sleeper for my A levels. A Miata would be amazing to but very rare indeed.

Drifting a miata is pretty difficult as it is weaker than a newborn kitten. Unless you ls swap it or stick a J series Honda in it or a nissan vq35

If you are still in school doing your A levels, stick to that and pick up this hobby when you have a steady stream of incoming monies. Drifting is a never ending pit of money and is impossible to do on a shoestring budget.

Cressidas are part of jzx chassis family. Ke70s are best left alone. You need good money to spend for drifting and plenty of open space and time. Get an old jzx car or old bmw and spend money on it when you can.

I actually am a really old member of Pakwheels but I seriously have never had an Altis Grande and have never asked how to launch it

4GR has plenty power if you choose tarmac wisely and I've done countless LSD conversions on MarkX's by now, they respond very decent but the thought process that adding a LSD to a markX makes it 'drift ready' is incorrect, they're really solid chassis but you need more power to initiate and maintain drifts
I've done 2GR 3.5 swaps as well which are REALLY nice daily driven setups, not drift cars

Rohaan Saeed owns a performace shop in KHI, is a very old PW'er, built his first car when you were probably in school, and currently builds/tunes performance Honda and Toyota engines. He also preps rally builds. Now go through your post again and try to make sense of it. You're an old PW'er, you should know whos who by now...

sorry for the late reply, if you can find a donor 350g in your country then youre golden you have zero alteration mark x but that option isnt available then use a 300G premium ecu and 2gr assembly only not trans cuz 4gr or 3gr or 2gr is almost same so it doesnt matter youll need to remap the to be able to work only 6 injectors the other 6 dont affect power theyre just there for carbon cleaning as these engine stores carbon alot, any good garage or tuner will be able to tune it properly. hope this helps. AND im guessing youre arent from pakistan or i would recommended some good garage( nonetheless im going to list some for other people willing)

AOA I wanted to ask that when we have drag races I intend to launch my car in the following manner 1- hold the brake and press the acceleration pedal 2- let go the brake and continue to floor the car So i wanted to ask that does it cause any wear and tear in the transmission or crank as I’ve hears from my friend that it does

Regarding the launch, that was just done 2-3 times at the time when I didn’t knew about the consequences and left doing a long time ago
Aur rahi bat noise in cvt ki to wo is liye aa rhi thi cuz when the cvt oil was changed, less quantity of oil was filled which caused the sound (3.7l was filled instead of 4l)
Got the cvt oil changed from Toyota and Alhamdulilah the noise was finished

I also drive my farhers car and the fact is that in this economy its super hard to own your own car. We all make mustakes and learn from them. Get a 6 speed corolla 1.8 if you want to launch it
