Monopoly of petrol pump owners

Hey, As petrol prices are rapidly increasing in country beyond affordable limit some petrol pump owners are selling it at price more than recommended by government

I live in area that is nearly 350 km away from karachi. The petrol price there is 209.86 Rs some fuel stations are selling it at 210 Rs which is acceptable but in our area fuel stations are selling it at more than 214 Rs which is much higher for person who is buying more petrol. They say that this is transportation cost but my friend told me that on fuel price government takes some tax which is for maintaining equal prices of fuel all over Pakistan.

Someone with basic knowledge of taxation,law,petroleum please help me in this matter. If it's wrong I will file a case in court against owners of petrol pump

when the Federal Govt announce price of any commodity that is applicable uniformly across the country. The difference of 0.20 to 0.49 cents is a variable offered by the stations owners. any difference above 0.50 cents controlled price is crime and shall be reported to area Deputy Commissioner(s) as they are responsible to manage Govt announced price control.

In case of Pakistan the smuggled iranian fuel is sold at much lower prices at fuel stations across balochistan, as well as at highway stations over border towns of sindh & punjab connecting with balochistan.
