The Khaltaro Valley Road is one of the scariest roads of Northern Pakistan. A narrow off-road track with very steep uphills and downhills. This track requires some serious off-road driving skills. The off-road track starts from the town of Sassi located at Skardu road, at 1.401m above sea level, and ends in Khaltaro, at 2.577m above the sea level.
Khaltaro valley in greater Haramosh valley is truly a hidden gem of Gilgit Baltistan region. Haramosh valley is in Gilgit district and lies on Skardu road at 2 hours drive from Gilgit city.
Khaltaro Valley is the most beautiful place in Gilgit Blatistan. Due to lack of road facilities, people avoid going there. The people of the valley are very humble and hospitable. The valley is enriched with a lot of waterfalls, glaciers, snow caped mountains, green lush landscape and many more.
