@spectra, in ma opinion its still a poser SUV as far as offroading is concerned. As far as highway/motorway driving or fillin the grocery in trunk or taking the whole family to a marriage/picnic then its too gudd, pretty much better then other ones lik Toyo RAV4, Honda's pathetic most attempt on a SUV Honda-CRV, Kia's Grand Sportage nd many lik these. I drove Xterra/ Xtrail nd offroad perfomance isnt upto the mark. To start with in offroad its always 50/50 thts driver/vehicle, and serious offroading is never done on a thing in which ya got doubts. These SUV's always make ya tensive abt ther parts. Lotta electrical stuff nd gadgets inside a vehicle nd worst of tht is wehn a vehicle starts to behav from its own mind, for instance ABS is a liability offroad nd same with many other features. Low-end torque is missing in most of the cases.
Nissan made very succesful offroaders in the past such as Nissan Patrol series, I had one Nissan GQ Low roof almost a year back nd it do wonders on offroad.
BTW, this is ma personal opinion, so don mind in any case.
