Actually its very difficult to say as the bike has clocked only 25kms on new oil(Zic 4T semi synth 20w40).Gear shifting is smooth, what i am more interested in is the bikes performance after it crosses the 700 km mark as most of the oils degrade by 50% at this range and shear down from 20w40 to 20w30.
LM maintains its viscosity for 1000+ kms.One can easily stretch it till 1.5k kms
On the other hand engine starts whining on local oils after 800,the smoothness vanishes and the engine is begging for an oil change. That was the case with AHL oil.
For CG/125 cc bikes LM is by far the best choice.
For GS 150/GD 110 LM 10w40 semi synthetic
For 70cc bikes any 20w40 oil to be drained before 1000kms( i dont have much experience with locals as my bike was on LM)
Pridor and other 100cc bikes LM is great, locals can be used as replacement.
Also note that LM is a thick oil(true 20w50 on paper),it offers protection at the expense of acceleration/speed as compare to local 20w50/20w40 oils and one might feel that the bike is heavy or is not quick enough as compared to 10w40.So its up to the user to decide whether he aims for performance or protection.
Those interested in performance 10w40
Those interested in protection 20w50
