Motorway M4 update

3 days less its second anniversary for M4 FSD-GOJRA section to be active and opened for public...i was hoping by now or atleast in the next month if they can open the TOBA-GOJRA section too...that would be so much easy for people travelling from ISB to KHI or south of FSD...I mean we could take the motorway all the way till TOBA from ISB and then take single road constructed by chinese long time back but still in great condition till CHICHAWATNI before joining N5...and then towards our destination...

Lets see when this happen!!! P>S Anyone has updates/pics abt any recent developments/progress

I traveled on both sections of M4 i.e. Multan-Khanewal and Gojra-Faisalabad on 5th March 2017. Excellent road. However, no rest areas or fuel stations. Patrolling is also not much. Hardly saw 1 patrolling car on the entire motorway. BTW Multan-Khanewal section is a 2 lane motorway instead of 3 like other motorways.

Gojra - Pindi Bhattian section is also a 2 lane motorway

I guess, entire M4 (Pindi Bhattian to Multan) will be upgraded to 3 lane once the Lhr-Khi Motorway completed

According to this Distance between Karachi to Multan 819 KM and Multan to Islamabad 574KM.

Problem is this is gillani project so its being neglected had it been initiated by pmln you would have seen completion in record number of days

PPL traveling from Multan to Islamabad should avoid using Shorkot-JhangBypass and use
Shorkot Cant- Gojra
Road condition from Shorkot till Jhang bypass is not so good and lots of traffic.

Yes, it is good option to pick M-4 from Gojra before evening.
I traveled last year through Shorkot Cant- Toba in the month of October. Although, it is almost 30-35KM distance from Shorkot to TTS. But in the evening you will find only fields along the road till TTS.

Although single road is in good condition but you will find no electricity pool or anything before reaching TTS. You will feel that you are only traveling in this lonely road.

Not suitable to travel after evening or late night in my opinion.
