I would say road is not that bad, but its dangerous as its single road. especially dangerous at night as its hard to drive due to on coming traffic lights.

I traveled from Faisalabad to gojra to toba tek singh today. The road is pleasure, its so smooth and i reached gojra in blink of an eye. Normal travel is so painful and dangerous.
I have one question however, i live in peoples colony Faisalabad, from where should i get on to motorway? from sargodha road or from amin pur interchange?

and is there any way to bypass gojra while going to toba tek singh from motorway?

Dear, bypassing Gojra is possible but the road is small and through villages. it will take 30 minutes, speed up to max 80km/hr and some sharp turns. It will take you on Jhang-Toba Road in city near Iqbal Nagar. If you want to explore, choose day time. After EXIT from M4, go towards Gojra, Before crossing canal bridge; take right turn and then take left. Follow this tiny road to reach Toba.

Recommendation is: Use Main Highway road to approach Toba from Goj. Travelling in night time is NOT SAFE at all.

i always use that bypass its also a short root. by using this i can avoid gojra city rash like allah wala choke etc n once i calculate its approx 15km short root, we travel Islamabad till shorkort cant

Gentlemen, what would b the sequence of connecting towns while going from Multan to Islamabad using these new roads? I used to go via Lahore but since there are long jams near Pattoki, hv to take best possible comfortable alternative.

Multan, kabirwala, shorkot, jhang bypass towards jhang gojra road then motorway M4 to Fsd and Fsd to lhr m3

The last update about M4 was that Faisalabad - Gojra section was opened in March 2015. Does anyone know which section is in progress now and when is it going to be completed?

70-75% complete on Multan-Khanewal section.

Progress on Gojra - Toba Tek Singh good.

Toba to Khanewal, little progress (Land acquisition almost complete)

Dear Pakwheelers, please don't expect any miracles for M4 completion.
It will take minimum 3-4 years more to complete till Multan. Two big bridges are to be constructed and much more including Service Areas and Rest Areas building.
Just enjoy the ride on M4 till Gojra and Thank GOD Almighty.. Peace !!

Just for info: It took exactly 6 hours from Wapda Town, Multan to PCSIR 2, Lahore via Gojra - Faisalabad (M4 > M3 > M2) on comfortable speeds way under the limits.

In my opinion, GT Road (N-5) is best for traveling from Multan to Lahore.

There are long queues & jams (reportedly 2-5 hours during rush hours) around Pattoki coz of new bridge work in progress. Otherwise, of course its the best route.

I have not travelled on this route since June-14 so, didn't know before that I regularly traveled on this route.
