the connector is not for insulation. Its for right/tight/correct connection. Insulation has to go over it anyway.
I think Shrink tubes with soldering works better in this case.....
To tell u the truth in case of these thin wires these tapes don,t work well after few weeks when the tape will face some heat it will start loosing its grip and with time will leave the wire naked these tapes work well on thick wires as u can place the tape very tightly on them....and tape gets enough surface on wire to stick the best method is to solder the wires and use shrink tubes and seal the soldering and this method will never betray uIts just a suggestion u r doing it good

hahaha kya ho gya hy criticize nai ker rha .....Its just for the sake of making things better and i know the method i told is very hard and need a lot of time and patience or aap ko pta hy cars my kabhi kabhi aag q lagti hy aisi wiring ki wajah say e ye tape with time lose ho jy gee i garuntee or aisa nai hy k main aisa nai kerta my b kuch places py aisi wiring use ker laita hu but truth is truth this is not a right way specially when wiring is close to carpet...Any how it was just a suggestion as i said before , so no hard feeling .Best of luck for DIY and b safe
jab ap logon nay final touch daikha he nahi to better dont comment i know k mainay kaisa joint lagaya hai wire tot jayay ge but joint wont aur wire is upto the requirement seems pretty tin but wire thread are pretty much equivalent to 6 mm wire so neither it will heat na he tape loose hoge
