Moved back to Islamabad, bought a Surf

Always wanted one.

Its a 1996 ssr-g with the 3.4l petrol engine. Good condition, needs a few things. Any input appreciated!

1: good spot to have it repainted? No dents, thinking of pulling the sticker off and having the car resprayed/showered in the original azure blue paint. Any advice where? Prefer somewhere local.

2: if i want to replace the sticker, where to get?

3: the car needs a new field monitor (the computer that shows compass etc at the top of the windshield), and the spare tire cover has a few dings. Im pretty meticulous about my cars so I want to replace it, any idea where to source these parts? Some of the rubber weatherstripping is also worn, wouldnt mind replacing that too.

For a re-spray you could try Awan Autos in I-9. I have been going to them for the last 10 years or so. Before Awan I used Vebra but, sadly, they have closed their doors forever. My experience with Awan Autos is that the owner needs to keep a very tight eye on what they are doing. All the best.

Congrats! Post pictures. 3.4L petrol is going to be a gas guzzler but worth it. Any reason you didn't go for the diesel versions?

Diesel costs damn near the same, the 5vz is a total workhorse of an engine (and very quiet), and the turbo diesels eventually require a rebuild

Turbo Diesels are very reliable but unfortunately because of our inferior diesel quality and pathetic excuse for diesel mechanics most diesel engines don't last as long as they should
