Mpfi <> efi?

i know the topic doesnt suggest much but i cdnt obviously write mpfi vs efi
acha for a start i know that mpfi is a type of efi...only it has multiple(2) valves
first question: are these multiple valves also elctronically cntrolled....(i can guess the answer)
acha now given that mpfi has more valves so does it mean that it is better than efi (in a sense) mileage,pick up,etc etc.
if yes then does this mean swift(mpfi) has a better engine than corolla,city(efi both)?
i am only comparing their engines...dnt make it a swift vs city vs corolla thing plz....
now thirdly can anyone tell me which engine is in vitz? and also compare that with efi and mpfi.....(vitz 06-08...the model which is mostly found in pak)

mpfi = multi point fuel injection (meaning each cylinder has its own fuel injector)

in modern cars its another fancy name for EFI electronic fuel injection. As todays cars have one injector per cylinder anyway

there is no such electronic valves you mention

Yes
If a car has an EFI engine with every injector to every single cylinder that is MPFI-EFI its the fuel which is controlled electronically not the valves

@poster xulfiqar bhai nd spoonmotorsports said correct abt the efi mpfi terms.
secondly u said abt the swift's engine vs corolla's engine.
there is o cmprison btween these two engines because the one having in swift is similar as liana had,if its not similar then atleast its v cloz to tht,nd that engine had many problems.on the other hand toyota's engine is far betr than swift's machine.its reliable,durable,easy to be maintained,econo etc etc etc....
the other cmprisn u stated is with city's engine.....so again it comes honda vs suzuki.
honda has betr tecno than suzuki....it would not be wrong if i term honda's engine betr than toyota's...

Honda's engine better than Yamaha's, you meant?

yamaha designed many engines for toyota and not only toyota but even some V10 for FORDs too although they have a very polite deal with toyota in designing their engine not to forget this was said by yamaha engineers that honda had some great skills in designing pistons... and today if honda isnt asking for yamaha's help this means honda has some potential
and Big PROPS to yamaha engineers some of their designed engines are famous for their capicity and response
