Yes Sir all of these things were fabricated at our workshop, I've fabricated the small Turbine housing which was originally 1.06 a/r which could have took ages to spool up but now its aroung 0.58 a/r, it spools around 3000 revs earlier. It set me back around 4000 bucks coz the price of the mold was included in it. A new one from usa would cost around $300-$400. These castings can be modified to almost any turbo.
The fuel rail was fabricated from a single bar of Aluminium. The engine originally came with a side feed injector system. The stock fuel rail had a small hole I think 9mm which was gud for supporting injectors upto 540cc, so I was left with only 3 options either ordering an after market fuel rail ($350-$400), boring the stock one (not a gud option as side feed injectors are expensive around $150 each) and going for a desi fuel rail with 18mm hole and a nitrous option. This cost me around Rs2500/-.
The patch harness(its a harness that is attached b/w the ecu and the vehicles original wiring harness, so that the patch is only made in the custom patch harness) was also locally made, it was made due to 3 reason, firstly, to attach e-manage ultimate i would have had to cut and splice and attach around 34 wires to the original harness, which could have been a tedious job working in a small tight place in the trunk. Secondly, turning to the original system was very easy, just remove the patch harness and attach the original plugs to the ecu. And Last was the most horrific, I actually got married 3 months back so................ U guyz know, it helped me to work in the room and give time to both my wives
.
We have even fabricated big brake rotors cross drilled and slotted around 13.5" front and rear of the same ratio. These rotors can be adapted to any car with little modification at the time of fabrication. I have'nt made any for the MR-2 yet coz the ones we fabricated, is being used on my brother's 2ZZ-GE Altis, and believe me they brake great.
Rest of the things I fabricated were used on my previous project. It was an AWD 4G63t 1990 Mitsubishi COLT. It was a complete conversion from a small 1.3ltr FWD to 2.0l turbo AWD. The project was sold before it hit the road :(.
Currently, we are making a locally made DYNO for measuring Torque and HP. It'll cost no more than RS200k. No big science in it a simple A-level physics and O-level Add maths is required for formulation, which has already been done. Components are really simple things like Crank angle sensors are being used. Currently its halted due to my cousin who is a programmer and is busy nowadays. Inshallah in couple of months an AWD dyno will be made.
And please dont think im bragging coz I dont.
