Multan & Bahawalpur Hotel advice

I am planning to visit Multan and Bahawalpur during long weekend of 12th rabiulwal with family.

Can you please guide me about good budget hotels in Multan and Bahawalpur. I was searching online and saw Bling Hotel Multan. Is it good enough for staying with family ?

I will go in my own car from Lahore but thinking to park it at hotel and take uber/careem if available since I do not know about the roads and traffic situation. Is uber/careem available in Multan and Bahawalpur ?

Will the sightseeing places be open during weekends and 12th rabiulawal Friday ?
What about Noor Mahal, Gulzar Mahal, SadiqGarh Palance and Darbar Mahal. Are they accessible on Sat-Sun (I will try and see if any army reference can be arranged).

Road to Derawar Fort and Tomb of Bibi Jaivindi in UCH is accessible by Honda City ?

Derawar fort is accessible and has a good road. Keep in mind to keep extra water for the car and check your tyre for punctures before going there since there is no help on the way.
For hotels don’t stay in these cheap hotels. Either stay in Multan or rahimyarkhan then both have hotel1 and ramada in Multan. Very good,neat and clear and recommended for families.

If you have any contacts in army , try for army messes... Both cities have cantts with sufficient messes.

Bling hotel in multan is excellent. Opened last year and has good standards. Also close to shopping areas. You didnt share your budget so no idea if it will be economical for you. If i remember correctly i paid 4-5k per night last year/

Thanks for your reply. Budget is flexible but 4-5k seems very economical. What is the traffic situation in that area and should I roam around in a cab or my own car considering I have zero idea about routes. Have never been to Multan before.

I think Latask Motel Bahawalpur is good option to stay

Last Month I stayed at bling Multan they charged me with Rs. 3500 per night there environment is safe and fine for families. Limited car parking is available with Guard. Complimentary breakfast is also served. Careem service is available at Multan but no online taxi service is available at Bahawalpur.

Multan to Bahawalpur road is in good condition but while coming back it's like a bumppy ride. From Bahawalpur to Derawar fort road is ok for cars and it takes about 2 Hours to reach fort but no good facilities are available on the way like car Hospital/workshops/food and water/ washrooms. Derawar Fort is in the worst condition. Most walls are broken/fallen, the rooms of Fort are home to millions of Bats so you can't enter a single room. There is a small shop at the entrance of fort from there you can buy drinkables.

Noor Mehal is open for public but some other places are not. I didnt visited others because i was told they are not open for Public so do check at your self. LAL Suhera national park is good to visit and i stayed at La Taska Bahawalpur. Very peaceful and family environment with good parking they also provide complimentary breakfast they charged me with Rs. 5000 per night.

Thanks for detailed reply. Amid all this chaos I was wondering if I will be able to leave my home or not but Alhamdolillah things are returning to normalcy. Hopefully the situation remains calm during 12th rabiul awal as well.

I am arranging my stay in Mess in Multan, hopefully it will be confirmed now. If not now I know in which hotel to stay.
From your experience it seems that Derawar is not worth visiting. I really do not want to get stuck in the middle of no where with a 2 year old child. So maybe next time I can plan Derawar and will limit myself to Multan and Bahawalpur Mahals (hopefully all of them).

I visited Multan, Bahawalpur & Lal Suhanra. Stayed at army mess. Will post pictures and detail in a separate thread.
