if you keep travelling straight you will head to kohala and onwards to muzafarabad . if you wanna go to muree/bhurban/nathia gali then you have to climb the steep road , but i think its not that difficult, i always feel that camming down hill is more difficult then going uphill , better have relaibale breaks and use the gears aswell

Instead of turning left if you go straight you will find another exit for murree which is actually close to lower topa. During summers when there is too much traffic on expressway, it is recommended to go straight and take lower topa exit for obvious reasons (people being unable to drive on that climb). It only adds 3-4 km to your overall journey.

After lower topa exit the road construction is going on but i dont know where it leads to.

Muzaffarabad, AJK. If you wan't to go there, better avoid driving there in the dark. A friend of mine who comes to Isb every weekend told me there is a risk of roadside robbery on that road and he always leaves Isb early for the same reason. Not sure if anybody else heard such a story.

after a few km's u get another U turn to go up, but the climb is much better like deel ee explained

Last time i went straight i had to drive like 10 KM on no road, along with big dumpers and rough road on my poor charade

Whats the situation now? The road construction is over?

The carriage way with steep slope is not recomended i have seen new cars heatup or stop i mean why put this much load on your engine and car?

exactly rite........
used the same route for going to muree this year it just adds abt 3kms in the journey but the road is gud and no steep slopes unlike the other one......!!!:)

Last i travelled on that bit of expressway some 3 months ago. Road was perfectly suitable for cars although some parts of it were still under construction but enough carpeted patches had been laid out to avoid any bumps or under construction patches. And it sure is a relief for small cars trying to climb the misyari strip to murree. Even if your car is capable of going up the hill, there will be a car infront of you trying to go up and failing to do so thus causing everybody behind in the queue to suffer.

As a matter of fact i was once told that the misyari strip was supposed to be oneway.i.e. only for traffic coming down from murree while the traffic going to murree was supposed to use the lower topa exit. Not sure if thats gonna happen.

Murre Expressway is perfoect for going to Murree and even better for traveling to Phagwari, Kohala, Muzafarabad and also if going by this way to Rawalakot.

While if you go straight its very nice road till Lower Toppa and from there if take left turn then can visit Murree/Bhurban and many other places while get rid of high steepness near Misyari and if more left then can go to Patriata and if right then lead to Phagwari, Kohala and Muzafarabad and Rawalakot.
