Wow, The specs of IC-104 look impressive and your explanation is excellent, I understood all well.
I have currently set my output voltage to ~250 volts by changing the loop wire position from the transformer and similarly adjust charging amps by changing position of charging loop.
I am attaching image of my transformer. If charging wire connected to point 1 then it gives max amps and low volts, point 2 gives little less amps and higher volts and so on...
I am also attaching image of my charging transistors which is, I think, the simplest charging circuit using IRFP150M power transistors. Please comment on this too.
Once a shopkeeper at Hall Road showed me a kit which he was calling IDB9 and said it works great on low input voltage etc... whats your idea about it?
