Is there any butcher in twin cities who keep animals (goat, sheep's) at his shop and cut them (thanda karna) at shop in front of customers.

Currently I am customer of meat palace Chaklala scheme 3 and Punjab cash and carry Adyala Road but not satisfied.

Wa Alaikum Salam. Well... When I used to live in Bahria Town, I used to buy grocery items from Chauhdry Bostan Khan road. There are some shops there, which butcher the animal in the morning in front of their shops, and then sell their meat. By afternoon, they are finished.

Then there was a shop "Rasheed Butchery" near to car chowk. I used to buy meat from there, and was satisfied.

If possible and convenient for you, you may try buying meat from that market.

Based on my experience of buying meat with PCC, Bahria Town Phase 4, its over expensive and not up to the mark. Not recommended.

Zabeeha in Westridge (CSD) sell Mutton which is slaughtered every morning and transported to outlets before opening at 8.30 am. The beef is from evening slaughter of previous day. Though they sell out quick for their quality & reputation of value for price.

If they are doing it in front of shop I will definitely visit them no matter what time and how far I have to travel to reach their and see animal getting hallal in front of me.

Now that's too much. In I-10 markaz, the price is somewhere around 1050 PKR for 1 Kg lamb's meat.

so regular butcher shops are not the norm now? when I visited back in 2015 - it was a gap of 7 years and I still went to the same shop I used to go and bought my choice cuts, yes the guy was expensive but the quality of meat and precision of his cuts and specially old relationships are worth the little extra money. Same thing with buying dry groceries - the shopowners really appreciated that

there are a few things to remember in choosing anything.

money should not be the only dictating driver for food supplies and dont shop for them like you shop for scrap parts of a car.

I have also tried zabeeha and found their products satisfactory although a bit costly. And no they don’t butcher in front of the shop.

trend has changed people are more into the quick and short trips at one stop joints.
Gen of 80's & next has serious difficulty to realize importance of such bonds with shops in market areas.

The ISB place being retirees they heavily depend over 1 stop shops. while in Karachi such bonds are still intact the generation is willing and love to connect boasting such bonds at shops scattered in the selected market areas.

fresh slaughter at home is almost equal to asking for fresh at the shop. On & off i switch between home & shop owing to engagement. The dry stuff list is still the old way .. now done via whatsapp delivery done before maghrib same day

the fabric of society is being torn that way. And people are not realizing what they are missing in terms of quality of food.

e.g. shoulder and neck cut of goat from such shop, and choice dry spices and nuts from oldschool shop along with excellent yogurt and make some shahi qourma.

that is why mostly my father gets meat. he knows which cuts and manage the butcher far better than we can.

1300 per kg is flat for any piece in Karachi butcher shops in Burns road premium product. where as super stores butchery section are charging premium for choice parts @thinking you are right for that.

if a reasonable weight active healthy lamb is selected & slaughtered at home all done paid clean price is 1500+ / kg and the bonus of slaughtered carcass it is at your disposal including organs as in liver, kidneys, brain & limbs

agreed this is what my friend do. he buys a lamb and get it slaugtered himself. last time he suggested that we can divide it among ourselves from the middle too (verticaly ) if that whats suits us. i think its a good idea.

And I would suggest you buy some tools and learn how to carve meat yourself too - so if the world goes completely insane and stupid mad max type situation, You would know how to capture, slaughter and dress a lamb.
