*** My 21 Years with Pakwheels - HB ***

Congratulations to HB and all Pakwheelers on the 10th Birthday of Pakwheels. It is a great achievement and shows just how Pakistanis of all varieties can come together for their passion for wheels of all varieties.

Although I am no longer active online, I wanted to say that some of my best times and friends are here on Pakwheels. It gives me great joy to see the website flourishing.

I wish HB, and all members the best of luck for the future.

When the dotcom era was on its peak back in 1999 it was the time when I registered the domain Pakwheels.com along with a few other domains, because that was the time when Hotmail got sold to Microsoft and everyone went on a domain buying spree right after that. It was all relevant to me since I was in Dubai building ArabianBiz.com

When I left Dubai and moved to Karachi in the year 2000, all my domains expired that included Pakwheels too. The thought of making an automotive portal was always on my mind because for two reasons,
1. I am an automotive enthusiast like all of you,
2. I was really bored.

So I re-registered Pakwheels.com on 18th July 2002 and called Jag in Dubai that I want the Automotive Portal. Finally after convincing him to take some time out of his busy schedule we got the site up and running in the Summer of 2003.

It was just an informative website with classifieds initially, we added the forums later on.

After sometime Jag also returned to Karachi from Dubai and we decided to use my house's basement as the office of Pakwheels.com.

Fun Fact: If you search for Pakwheels.com office on Google Maps, it would lead you to my house's basement

Jag Did the programming and I looked after the members and other stuff.

I was a silent memeber of Pakwheels since 2004/5. That time i use to see expensive rides (cars,heavy bikes) ads on PW and always wished to have one of them later ..... I used to tell my friends that pakistan mai Farrari sherrari bhi hoti hay ...... Then in 2011 i was going to Naran and i didn,t knew about roads ,places to visit.etc .... Then i saw @spitfire ,s Famous naran thread from 1st page to last thread... Got every info needed ... After 1 and half months of trip i decided to share my trip on PW so i made my account at 15th of august i think , Just 2 days before my Birthday ....... And then i started exploring pw properly ,,,, Till now Met lots of PW friends , Travelled together .... Its not only a Website its like a Global family That,s why i love PAKWHEELS

over the past years pakwheels has became a part of my daily life.whenever i get hold of my computer the first site i go to is "pakwheels.com" and then others,before i did not knew the difference b/w a xli and gli but now thanks to PW & it's very helpful members i have gained a high amount of knowledge and still gaining as every day pass by

Hooked on to Pakwheels since I became a member in 2007. In beginning was just a silent member but slowly started contributing a year later. Learned a lot from this website from car technical to ICE to Photography to getting a new ride.
Spent endless hours even during exam but still no regrets.
Whatever knowledge I carry, Pakwheels was a significant contributor to it and I stand proud to be a part of this family. My friends say I'm crazy to follow a forum but only a true auto enthusiast knows the pure joy of spending time here
I made a lot of friends here and had some arguments as well and all the time spent was hell of a journey and I still intend to carry it forever.

Got a lot of respect from people through Pakwheels and hence a lot is still owed to this platform. Thank you HB (@Libra) for giving me this opportunity to be a part of this wonderful family so closely knitted together.

No doubt its one of the greatest efforts for the Automotive in Pakistan sold my 2 rides here and purchased and some for friends, while One thing i want to say that Pakwheels was a big informative site back till 2007~8 then at some time it was more like the Teenagers all around.

Still i miss the postings of the members and helping others. Have been to some GTGs also.
@libra and all others Hats off for your Efforts, Now a days i really love the 4x4 Section as some enthusiast thr are still doing some sweet stuff and I love that pure Technical thing.

I have been hanging around this part of the world wide web for a few years, making virtual friends initially and them meeting some of them in person a few years ago at GTGs. I have gained valuable automotive knowledge which can only come from someone with firsthand accounts. I have seen PW transitions over the years and have been privileged to be part of it in some capacity.

My fond memories as a member include many heated and spirited arguments that sometimes included cheap shots at the expense of civility but managed to avoid any bans. Thank you PW admins and mods for that.

Thank you HB for having the vision and JAG for making it real and tangible.

It would be inappropriate if don’t acknowledge involvement and stewardship of Pak eVentures to ensure continued growth of this platform.

It has been a pleasure being part of PW.
