SirJi - you should add a proper roll bar welded to the frame. It will add some torsional stiffness to the frame which has been compromised by removing the roof. I recall you welded some bars underneath the chassis as well. Shouldn't you have also welded some temporary support to keep the body true, before cutting the roof? How will the front windows line up with the a-pillar since the doors were relocated a few inches back?

By the way, this Mazda is Body on Frame or Unibody?

Sir the roll bar would mean that no design of a fold away hood can be accommodated, if it was in level with the windscreen frame you might have been able to get a soft hood made for the car.

Two stage softhood has already been ordered for it. Will putup the pictures as soon as it is ready. Paint is being delayed because of the weather..... Will put in the final coat once sun is out..... still getting small little things ready.... Hope to get something worthwhile...

rust was not taken care of, polygate/poutine applied and paint done... This way you might be in the dent/paint shop again very soon...

rust was not taken care of, polygate/poutine applied and paint done... This way you might be in the dent/paint shop again very soon...

Where ever poutine has been applied, before application the rust was totally removed........ Even then if on some place if it is still there, it will be taken care off before the paint is done......

Amazing work brother. Keep up the good work.. But somehow i have a hard time imagining how would you cover the soft top over that roll bar cage. It's quite a bit high.. Anyhow,, I am pretty sure you must have something better in your mind..

Today I reduced the height of Rolling bar by 3 inches. It has now been aligned with the height of the wind screen. Thanks for your interest and recommmendations. I really am thankful to all of you who give their input thus helping me to make this thing worthwhile.
