A ride maintained with passion,,zeal and enthusiasm,,,,,what else to say,,, i have got the same ride although not in that top notch condition as yours,its golden one,,thumbs up bro,,,,had been a keen and silent observer of your detailing sessions,,,,will take tips from you in future.....this car is a real rugged beast....keep rpm till 2 its calm,,,,,just a slight press and it becomes a savage creature,,,what to say about pushing the ect......any ratio idea for hi cotane along with super unleaded.....coz i usually keep 70 hi octane and 30% normal....regards....

thanks a lot for the kind comments, and yes golden and black are my fav colors in this model, i use 50/50 hi octane with petrol or a octane booster of liqui moly if i cant find hi octane, reason being A) it has a compression ration of 9.5 so doest really require hi octane all the time but due to poor fuel quality here it can knock on just petrol and B) i am not keen on too much hi octane as i found out that hi octane here contains some amounts of lead and its not true hi octane but HOBC (hi octane blending component) and using it too rich may not be favourable for catalytic convertor etc, before i used to use 100% ho octane sometimes even.

so i suggest use 50/50 ratio or use a octane booster from reputable company like liqui moly or sonax boosters are but expensive but work good and printed catalytic convertor safe.

finally get a chance to test the new foam lance, used Autofinesse Avalance, dilution ration 1:15, i think the ratio needs to be fine tuned more, any thoughts?

yeah good suggestion, as had to use drying aid and work quickly to stop any water spots forming, it was a first test though

sadly ahmad bhai isn't around in pakistan these days, waiting for his arrival so that we can ceramic coat my mercedes when he comes back.

how does lahore traffic feel, i was in the twin cities couple of days back, i found the traffic and roads there there pretty bad these days

bought this cable, will update soon after testing how well it works and what functionality it adds

basically it allows navigation photos calender and music option etc in the sam interface and easy to use design of iPhone and you can download further apps which are compatible with the headunit which include car web browser, music streaming services, dash command tool to name a few, all are automariclaly accessed from the phone and presented in a distraction free nice looking display, it also allows you to watch videos stored on your iphone/ipod

finally exams are over and Ellen and me are going on a drive from lahore to Muree tomorrow. she's been neglected due to my other spoilt child(the mercedes) and its about time ellen got detailed as well and she hasn't moved a inch in two months so i have a lot of preparation to do night, clean it, make sure battery is good pre flights etc so that she's all set for the 45C drive on the motorway tomorrow.

the thread has been way to boring as well so in coming weeks ill be reviving and posting more updates as well.

due to some family issues couldn't leave immediately, but i finally completed the journey and am back, some pictures and a small account will follow,

waking Ellen up after hibernation of two months, pretty dirty was last waxed three months ago so definately needing a good detail but had to leave in the morning so only a very quick spruce up with quick detailer was done before going to bed. the battery was fine thank you BOSCH and it started right up. pre flight checks were completed which included, using digital air compressor of black and decker to pump up tyres to 30psi including spare, checking tools and also keeping tow rope and jump leads and a fire extinguisher in car which i always do.

It also took way too long for me to set up my OBD dongle as well as i had changed phones and it wouldn't recognise the ECU finally got it to work by selecting JOBD protocol, apparently ellen think its japanese while my 2010 altis has no problem connecting with normal protocol.

in the afternoon ready for departure in a hot 42C, remember no detail or fresh was or anything just meguiars Detailer spray to provide some water beading to get me through this trip.

huge difference, euros were 2000km driven at the time, i got yokohoma advan DB after that, the car is much more stable smoother and quieter, in every respect it improved the ride especially at high speeds, though euro stars are fine enough as they come company fitted on the new cars but maybe the one mine had were defected or something or there was a problem with the rim that they never got balanced properly, so ichanged tyres to yokohoma and rim to a original(with verified barcode and catalogue number online and extra lightweight one from taiwan.

a little trip to monal, actually it was my test rather than the cars as i had never driven in hilly areas or this road ever before.
the car though performed excellent as in these situations you really appreciate powerful engines rather than smaller variants which though are just okay for the job will joisouly get you there but say a 1.3 will never beat the smoothness and quietness of a 1.8 uphill.'

plus for a beginner like me i would not enjoy to climb up this hill with anything less as 1.8 gives you peace of mind you onto have to plan ahead, the car climbed at 2000rpm all the way in second only shifting to first after two hairpin turns still at 2500rpm. in a more powerful variant its jus more enjoyable as you can see a small gap while overtaking and can easily exploit it so its way safer as well then say a 1.3 which is underpowered at sometimes when wrong combination of revs/gears.

i have put a video, its just mostly shows me driving and a little taste of all the corners on this wonderful road, ant comments on my driving or suggestions will be fine, you can just about make the rpm of the car and how effortlessly it climbed, i had to cut the audio as was with family so dont hate me for the songs:P

i had to downscale the video form HD as it too long to upload with current ptcl speeds and apologies for the shaky camera it wa shot by m 10 year old brother, it was just for fun next time ill make sure to mount my go pro.
