the original DX bumpers give a more "stern look" to the car - the 86 bumpers make the car look "smiley"

The badges are great - will look good - and go finishing sake paint the front fascia of the car black before fitting headlamps, radiator and bumper. thats how its supposed to be anyway.

What rear lights are you planning the orignal DX style or the later JDM style.

yes ur absolutly rite about the bumpers ! but i thought to give it a bit change now ! as i said ill be buying DX bumpers and will interchaneg them usually ! u mean the place where the radiator is mounted ? paint that black ? if ur saying that then yes i told the guy to paint it black (like it comes orignally)

the rear lights fitted in the pics before these pics are bought ! means the orignal DX lights ! they look better to me ! i hate the 86 lights ! the special edition ones

Nice. For how much? I am also thinking of goin for 7A or 20v in near future...

I guess silvertop will run on our normal fuel

One more thing silvertop got Airflow sensor and the later blacktop one got MAP sensor(Correct me if i am wrong) so I guess petrol will be the only option to run this car.

i have seen a blacktop running on cng fine ! and people says that the silvertop runs good on cng due to low compression ! rest i dont know

yes the silvertop uses the "swinging gate" air flow meter and the black one uses a map sensor. adding CNG to the equation is nightmarish as the engine has 4 throttle blades the engine sucks in air in pulses rather than in a stream. Ive seen people do it but the engine ran out of breath at 4500 rpm - pretty gutless. Even the brake booster setup requires 2 check valves or you upset the load balance.

The demonic roar of the 4 throttle blades is addictive - and you specially would like it with a silent and civlised exhaust or a gated exhaust like the 8G galant had. it used a vacuum pod to "bypass" the exhaust muffler for a growling booming sound.

so this means 20v st/bt + CNG = FAIL ?

if you are going to use those emblems get them properly painted, they will look a million bucks

yes im already thing about then ! i will take a paper tap place it on the emblem ( after cleaning ) then ill carefully cut the tape with blade to attain the desired area which i would paint !

Get some ABS plastic sheets or rubber sheets, the export models corolla had rubber/plastic air ducts that mounted on top of the grille to the radiator support, on the sides of the radiator to the front bumper and on the bottom edge of the bumper to the radiator/condenser. It ensured that when the car moved all cooling air hitting the front louvres actually got forced through the condenser/radiator.

Takes about 2 hours to make, a few finishing clips, screws, thin sheet metal and plastic/rubber sheet are required.

and yes CNG and the quad throttle 4AGE are not a good combination.

Fortunately i told the guy today to paint the whole nose-cut black ! i mean the area behind the grill and bumper !
will do a DIY later on the plastic ducts later when car is in my garage ! u will help me in that inshallah
then i think 4age is out of discussion for me ! as i will be running cng ! will wait for 4age when its completely my personal car (now its partially) i was think of placing Bt head on a St block for achieving low compression so that i can use cng ! and head of Bt is better than St in many ways but its a broken record now i think ! if i swap 4age i know my heart wont allow me to run on cng ! and keeping in mind the petrol prices in "Pakistan zindabad"
so what should i do now ?
1.over haul the head , change the block to 7a ,wiring ecu too
2. buy a complete assembly of 7a head block wiring , ecu , manifold (of 4a )

which option will be better ? or do u have any perfect option ? keep in mind im done with 1500cc ! i need a bit more torque so 7a is my only choice

Why dun u sell your 5AFE on pakwheels? I am sure it can go for atleast 20k. now a days 5AFE is for around 80K here in Pindi and your engine just needs new rings and head job that will be around 10 to 12k and it will be good for another 2 to 3 years

You can than go for complete 7AFE. BTW Do get the distributor one not the coil one

i didnt get the part a lot of money spent and eventually car will cng just to save money.

why spend to save? i dont agree fiddling with engine parts to save on cng.

use same money and get better drive.

i need a centre piece on steering wheel same as in pic. mines has a clip broken.

too much acceleration and centre falls out.

thats a really good idea ! ill buy a complete 7afe and keep this 5a and sell it here ! i think its rings are fine it only needs a head job and some of the seals are leak ! ab zara buget ajayay

i agree with u ! but let me explain then ull agree with me too
the thing is my car is a daily 60-80km runner which is our requirement not masti etc ! i cant take much money from home for complete petrol running ! and i dont have a job YET im a student and i know gasoline engines are made for gasoline not for cng ! in the coming years when this car will be my personal car ull see if it has a 2e or a 20v it will be on petrol !
P.S my plans are if i swap a new engine i will try this time to run partially on petrol and partially on cng !

i have a spare complete steering wheel just like mine but the problem is that its center piece clip is broken lol

yes u are right on the whole engine part ! but i think 7a consumption will be better than both 4a and 5a ! and why would i say that ? because 7a has highest torque on 2800 rpm it means higher torque in lower rpm so less fuel consumption

let me give u a heads up what we said in Pushtu ! and what i replied ! i told him some info about 7afe ! he said from where did u copy this ! i told him that copied it from some where and nobody is born with Wikipedia or all the knowledge in his hand and he was reading all that in 9 months inside

BTW some guys talk in Punjabi which i don't understand but i never complained bout it ! i had many complaints not to use Pushtu (alien) language here ! and they use Punjabi etc which is alien language to me but i never complained ! this is a general fact here on PW am i rite ? @hidalgo
