how is it running? if it is still running?

most engine transplants in a beetle end up in killing the car altogether as the transmission is unable to cope up with the high revs and torques.

Although i'm not in favor of such mods in a beetle, i admit your project has excellent eye-candy points

well i wanted to suggest a push start button and leather covering on the metallic dash. cream and beige like rolla or the matte black will look excellent. secondly why not put the engine in front with a toyota gerabox. and make it rwd. it will need alterations but might give power wid reliability

thx mate, completing it very soon. Also, i'm inspired by your project quite much, I believe i would do a likewise project with either the same 4throttle with 7a block and further forced induction etc, or 3sgte. I'm not sure if the suitable tranny solution would be readily available. What's your idea about it?
