Bro cause i was sick of changing gear boxes everyday...broke six in total n finally i just cldn't take it anymore so i wanted smthing reliable for a change thts why the boxer is back in

dayyyum! last time i checked you'd already killed 4 gearboxes,.. sad to hear that 2 more died. at least you have reliable power again but i hope you realized that you could have fir bus gearboxes (mith slight mods) to your car, and they were MUCH stronger.

how does she drive now? obviously she's slower but the fact that you can drive her now must be fun.

are you going to be doing any performance upgrades to her? i'd suggest you consult an engine builder abroad (or maybe a good VW forum) about all the parts you'll need and then get the rebuild done once. your best bet would be to go for a 2nd engine which you can build and test on a stand once you have all the parts needed.

BTW what engine is it? 1200? 1300? 1500? 1600? Dual port? single port? the more info we have the more we'll be able to help out in the future.

if you see his last pic (with the transplanted VW engine) the porsche sticker is gone.

yeh she's running smooth obviously not nearly as fast but running none the less...its a 1300 i've got planning to get a bigger Carb for it or maybe convert it to a dual carb n thinking of getting a new exause system in

"running" is very important for a car

i'd suggest that if you want more power that you go for a 1600 conversion. you can get new pistons, sleves etc in PK from some dealers (like moqeem in pindi),.. all you'll have to do is find a set of 1600 (dual port) heads,... then you can go for bigger carbs etc. but you'll have to do more than just that if you intend on getting more out of the engine. cams, rockers, remote oil cooling & filteration etc. however you'll have to replace the gearbox eventually again so it's best you stick to a stock 1600dual port as your maximum limit, which is actually more than enough power for this chassis (stock).

the list goes on and on and on when it comes to VW mods but i'd suggest you concentrate on making her reliable before going for more power (like what i'm doing).
