My bikes horn is not as loud as it used to be

hi
my bike (doom 70) horn is very faint.,. earlier it was pretty strong , what could be the issue?
its low whethr my bike is idling or full throttle,,
my headlight is strong,, battery is properly cared of,, its water level is ok,,always used distilled water,,
any ideas?
i checked all wires .. though checked sarsari,, not very thoroughly,,,on the face they were ok,

well usually it is because of battery weakness
how much old is your battery???

its a 2009 model so u can say almost a 2 and a half year old ...

it may be cause of loose connection and horn p daikhna aik nutt huga back par uski atleast mere ybroom ma to ha:P
loose or tyt that nutt it will be fine
my mechanic fixed my bikes horn like that

Either its time to replace the horn as it might have got short from inside, or.. first u shud check a tiny screw placed at the back of ur horn with a gluey, sticky thing. This screw controls and tunes the sound of ur horn.. if the glue has been removed, the scre must hav lost its position due to which nw ur horn is miss tuned.. take a screw driver, tight the screw fully, and press horn, then start unscrewing.. if it works, then ur horn is fine and tuned nw..
if it doesnt.. time to buy a new horn..

Replace it.

Try pressure horn it will be loud and effective

few weeks ago it totaly stoped working so i replaced with another horn of CRLF for 180rs .. and now its again working .. its realy loud now .. and i am using same old battery .. which came with bike stock ...2009 ..

aik haftha ma battery ko down nai hona chaia.. u see i am still using stock battery ,. and i have at times left my bike of for a stretches of 1 month .. no issue .. after half hour ride it charges itself..

so what exactly u mean by not wokring .. indicators blkul hi nai on hothay ? when u are riding do they work then ? if not then wiring issue ..

first check if battery water level is ok .. then check battery connections .. then check the fuse near battery ... if issue is still not solved . then open head light and check all wire connections .. some wire may have gone loose ..

if u still do not find any loose wire .. then check ur battery if its charged ..

ok i just noted u also said not working properly ...

mera sath bhi exactly ya issue tha .. then i went to battery wala and emptied my battery .. removed all water from it .. then he poured the already made battery acid/water in it .. and now its working flawlessly .. that acid water was having proper specific gravity .. he checked it .. they have big big drums full of this mixture ..

it cost 20 rs.

read post 11 .. this is exactly same issue as i had..
however after refilling the horn was i think still as maryal as it was .. but i loved it as it was not as piercing .. and continued to use it.. untill it died on me .. however the indicator were bright after battery refilling ..

so u can check ur horn .. just attach it to battery terminals if its not loud then its faulty ..

My Brother's 2011 Pak Hero PH70 presented the same symptom. Its Horn got out of order. Replaced it with a new one from CRLF. While buying, the horn blew well enough. But after installation and using for about 1 day, the horn became very weak. Tried changing the screw position to optimum level but even then, it did not ring well. Again changed the horn, installed my Kawasaki's second horn on PH70 and it is working fine ...

Few days ago I was facing the same prob
Showed it to technician and he checked the battery and there was little bit carbon on battery wiring specialy where Fuse is attached
Then checked and found some improvement but not satisfied later he open the horn switch and rub the tip with sand paper
Ooo laa laa

All iz well

I notice mostly bike horns get dead or slow because of service water. Avoid using water on the horn directly during service better to cover it with desi shopping bag.
