O.K guyz! Great newz! Thanks for taking the wait, FUEL REVIEW/RPM REVIEW/6.th GEAR REVIEW, all completed now! Returned 2 hours ago, from 3 fares, covering GT Road and the Motorway, with separate reviews on fuel economy, both with AC on and AC off, and with the 6.th gear employed.

Shall post all pics and proofs tomorrow, a bit too tired now, the journeys started from shortly before Aftaari. there'll be full pictorial illustrations of the whole review.

As a "taste-maker", let me say, shortly: IT WAS AWESOME !!!!!! Never has the "rolla" rolled like this before!

Khurram bro, the confusion lasted just for a day or two, you get used to it then. Let me add, you do have to be a bit careful when releasing the reverse out of lock and putting the 1.st gear into action, since they work at exactly the same position, only difference being in pulling up slightly for reverse deployment. Not any big issue, but still, coz at times you do find that you didn't pull up properly, somehow, during the release of reverse, and gear is still in reverse and not in 1.st, lolz!

My "problem-saver" with respect to this issue is, however, - and only if it occasionally happens - the rear view camera, in that I habitually keep my eyes on the DVD screen and instantly find out if the camera is in function or the screen has returned to the video mode, which it does in 1.st gear on-wards only, course.

I am a fast driver, due to our profession, we have to chase some criminals. You may have pressed the full gas pedal, may i know the maximumm achievable speed of altis 1.6? Can we catch civic 2010 on the motorway and block such cars with altis 1.6?

Dear AK 471, also please tell me the indoor cabin sound of the car. I hate noisy cabins like Honda has, it realy gives me migrane and secondly in noisy cabin with rumbling engine or tye noise it is difficult to speak on VHF/UHF or listen.

I am a fast driver, due to our profession, we have to chase some criminals. You may have pressed the full gas pedal, may i know the maximumm achievable speed of altis 1.6? Can we catch civic 2010 on the motorway and block such cars with altis 1.6?

Well, sadly I never got a chance to hit it full. This, because I was careful not to rev it too much before 5K kms and 1.st oil change. Later I kept it barely for another 1500kms, before it probably landed on the other side of stinking Afghan border.

I remember however, that few days before the theft, a cousin of mine hit near to 160 on GT road, just for a couple of seconds, before some sort of obstruction forced him to hold it's 122 horses.

As far as engine sound is concerned, I consider it considerably damp, as if compared to the previous SE SAloon, 1600 CC, which had a terrible sound from 110 kms/hour onwards even.

I must say, Altis for the time being is simply the best local option, can't say of your specific requirements, how abt Nissan 350 type, lolz!
