What I got done over the weekend.

After a weekly wash, wipe down and tires treated.

MashaAllah

Interior before

Interior cleaned with CG Citrus 1:20 APC and then treated with Mothers.

I recently put new rear tires on, and this was first time cleaning and treating them.

If you are interested to know, this is Dunlop Sport Max TT 245 r18 40

Previous tires removed (rear only). These used to be Nitto Invo 275 r18 35.

As you can see, I really enjoy pushing it... [emoji12] lol

Fronts are still acceptable.

wow... its great that u got new tires but i think you waited a long time before changing them I mean the rear ones were completely dead i believe for cars which are capable of very good acceleration AND higher end top speed, tires should always be in excellent condition. you never know when u might have the 'insect' activated to push the car hard and may touch 100 mph or more even if thats momentary, the tires CAN (God forbid) get you into trouble.

As for the front tires, i think i see the manufacturing year of them and its looks like they are from 2007, which means they are beyond expired now. I think you should change them asap.

I bought a humble little e36 320i (my first ever own car) in July. The tires on it were from 2013 and had plenty of tread left. I still got them replaced with brand new as they were very hard. I do a lot of highway driving so new tires means one less thing to worry about.

Anyways, who am i to lecture a senior BMW owner on tires your ride looks even better since i checked in last time. Can you explain to me a bit how you got rid of that whitish dry stuff on your dash? i have rubbed tooo damn hard with a tooth brush and several cleaning agents on my car's dash thinking it was some settled dust but now i believe its just dry. what products should i use? Mother's, 3M, turtle are the brands easily available here.

Yes I waited a little longer to change the tires. However these tires are not from 2007. Hell, I dont think anything would last that long, atleast in Saudi Arabia. These tires were put on in 2014, and I only got 25,000km of fun out of them. Just says something about the power of the car and softness of the rubber compound.

Regarding dash board, I never let it run dry, as it is very harsh for the dashboard. I clean it usually using a CG Clean+. And the Mothers Interior Detailer to protect it.

Which white spot are you talking about?

Yeah, E60 M5 is the next project. But its not easy finding one in pristine condition here, but one hopes nontheless

Btw, i am curious, you went from 275 to 245. I think 245 should be enough. why did you put such wide tires before these? or was it the last owner? and did you feel that 275 was more then you need? I think 245 will be easy on the car in terms of acceleration/fuel economy.

I think in your 'before' pic of the dashboard, the white thing is just the flash of the camera. in my car, i have this dryness on the dash and i used to think it was dust embedded into it. wiped my *** off with a cleaning spray to get rid of it but didnt help. I think its not dirty but only dry. it sure is very bad for the dashboard to be dry in this intense sunlight (even in January ) i ll get my hands on this mother's product ASAP.

btw, is there any online reliable website/retailer that you use to buy automotive stuff who also ships to mid east? i ordered some car stuff from China last week on aliexpress. It says my order is shipped, lets see if and when i receive it. but the stuff that i really want (some small replacement parts) are not available there.

Actually, the model supports 2 specs, 245 non staggered, or 245/275 staggered. I tried 245/275 last year. Now I went back to non staggered setup. Yes the Nitto Invos have very soft compound. But I felt the staggered offered better grip during high speed cornering.

As strange as it may seem, finding detailing products here in UAE is not as easy as it might sound. most stores have Armorall products which are, to me, just garbage. Even big brands like Ace stores have only a few limited products of turtle, 3M or meguires stuff stocked. will try to look harder though...
