My car's brakes do everything except stopping it

on a serious note, check for any vacuum leakages in ur brake booster, for that kind of an error u don't need to have an old car........but a suzuki :p....

suzuki is a chawal car. but no oil marks when car is standing for long duration.also no oil leaks. i think some thing wrong with booster or master cylinder.

no,no, oil has nothing to do with vacuum leakage...just go to a brake service professional and ask him to check the rubber pipes connected to your brake booster..if its ok, then the only criminals happen to be the pads themselves...

Hello!
if your car is standing from long time.....get front wheel pistons serviced and change all seals.....! also check rear wheel cylinders as they might be jamned if car was standing from long time....!
if its not..........make sure front pistons and rear wheel cylinders are working fine......! get NIPPON brake pads....if problem still presist.......the only solution....get a BIG Brake Booster from any TOYOTA....!

thnx 2 all PWs who have rgiven their valuable solutions. but i think 1 VERY IMPORTANT POINT has been neglected. I have noticed that when the car is on petrol its brakes work fine like day one!!!!!!!!!
when its on cng they become a problem. the reason i think is that there is a lack of vacuum for the booster when the car is on cng as compared 2 petrol . what do u guys say?

well if its all fine on petrol.....then get you CNG mixture and idle rpms tuned....as engine was not creating enough vacuum on idle.....it might be vibrating when you are braking on CNG rite?
but i think not too much difference is there......!that it won't brake on CNG or did fine on petrol....if yes...do check you mixtures as well as IDLE Rpms....make sure your car is tuned on CNG properly...!!

i will try that but idle speed is f9. the car does not vibrate at all on cng. however i will consult the mechanic 2morrow.

Its better you bang you head somewhere rather than talking about this kinda matters with Paksuzuki Pplz.....!
its like..."Bhens Ke Aage Bean Bajana" same as the case with them....!!
get it diagnose yourself...they just change all things and charge you.....problem solved or presist...thats your matter....! better get you hands on it...rather than wasting time and money

dont mention suzuki, even i can do better than them. and i had a very annoying experience with those jack asses.

I have some advice though I have all discs on my car. Never get the insides of the wheels washed. A lot of the Braking Force is gone.

btw Please do not try something like go very fast and slam the brakes hard to see if there are marks left on the road. You are most likely to cause a very big accident and you may be dead too.

I think the Alto comes with a 9" Brake Booster and normally that is ok.

I will never take CNG. I cannot believe it makes your brakes and engine fail.
