Pakistanis are the sexiest people on the planet. We are the best artists, musicians, painters, movie makers, actors; the best sportsmen and mountaineers, bravest men and women in uniform, fiercest fighter pilots, crazy motor heads like Moin Khan who travelled 40,000 km on a back breaking racing bike, our school kids are the brightest in studies and best in debates and dramas. We have the tallest mountains, vastest deserts, mightiest rivers, beautiful valleys and forests and a vast ocean; we are the first and the only Islamic nuclear power. We are home to people from diverse cultures, religions, ethnic backgrounds.
So how can we go wrong on making the Civic X?
I have bought a 2016, Civic 1.8 auto transmission, without sunroof, and contrary to popular feedback on the internet, I simply love it. My friends told me that this version has no resale but I thought, when would we start buying cars as a means of transportation.
History of Buying Decision
I have upgraded from a civic reborn. I initially wanted to get a seven seater SUV, hoping to use it for family trips to the North, but I could not find a trustworthy machine in my search for more than 2 months. I finally started evaluating Vezels, but could not find a reliable piece in my budget. Those who are using vezels, advised me to import one myself and not trust the ones available here already, but I did not have the required connections. Finally I decided on buying a brand new vehicle as I did not want to take a chance with a used vehicle.
One of my friends and a fellow pakwheeler, @ Jeez, bought an Oriel last month. When I drove his car, I found out that the majority of the criticism on the internet was untrue ? folks had simply had not driven the car and could not look past the shoddy welds.
Interior
Interior is well-equipped. It has Break Hold, E-Hand Break, Econo Mode, Climate Control, Rear vents, VSA Button; Passenger has control of Central Locking, Audio Control on steering wheel. I opted for a factory fitted Sat nav as well.
The best part is that it is extremely quiet.
Exterior
Exterior is beautiful and classy. I like the wheel cups, much more than the factory fitted alloy rims.
Brakes
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the car has 4 wheel ABS.
Tyres
I wanted to get the tyres changed to Yokohama DB Drive but the factory supplied cars are very soft and quiet. I have decided to keep them.
Anyone who is interested in this car, I would urge them not to get bogged down by the all the criticism on the internet. Have a drive, and then decide for yourself.
