I know it’s a dig but, How does the car run on F20b? And could you mention the cost of the swap and everything and also the fuel economy?
Car runs perfectly fine.It gives around 8 to 10 on mix driving Ac/Without Ac.I think its a pretty good average for a 2000cc engine...!!!
Oh okay, thankyou!
I’m actually looking for suitable engines to swap in my SX8 City.
If power is main requirement then look for B18C5
Actually I’m looking for better economy first as it’ll be for family use.
Whts the compression on ur engine??? how much did it cost you and how is the relaibility of the engine and oil leaks or oil consumption i am planning to by a cf4 with the same engine with auto tranny
I didn't check its compression because i buy it from a reliable source.Engine + auto gear price was around 100k and 130k for manual 2 year's back then chipped ecu cost 20k to 25k,10k for wiring, alteration charges etc.It cost me between 250k to 300k everything included.... Well i did't face any oil consumption issue & its a beast of a engine can easily embarrassed most new cars.!!!
how is the ride with rear trailing arm poly bush? which brand you got?
the rbi ones keep wearing out, i am looking for something that lasts a lot longer, but remain comfortable
i source it from a used jdm trailing arm available in shershah for 3k i think (just bushes) but condition is almost new...Dont use whole poly bushes because it makes a car more uncomfortable...i used trailing arm one because it usually breaks in these models.I did't feel any difference after installing these...
Some new updates. Artificial leather stitching in Steering wheel & Pionner 9450ub installed..
I’m surprised at you not feeling a difference , everyone says they stiffen up the ride and improve turn in while taking corners. So you felt none of those ? Asking as I’m gonna install them into my ek as well
Are you asking about the coilovers or trailing arm poly bush ?
For coilovers it usually depends on the setup of coilovers, a proper working 32 adjustable coilovers with lower spring rate can give you not same but almost as same as the stock suspension comfort with better handling and stability (off course at full softer settings).coilover with higher spring rate can cause you the stiffness in softer setting....!!!
Poly bushes bro
I install the big one's polybush only. not the whole rear end...that is why it dosn't make that much difference.
Thanks , I see. I thought the trailing arm poly bushes made slit of difference. I guess I’d have to get after market lower control arms with the poly bushes to help that effect in the rear.
you will feel difference if your whole car is converted to poly bush,
replacing just 02 wont make much difference.
