My Corolla Gli 1.3 MT Fuel Pump Failed

Aoa Pakwheelers, I bought my GLT in Oct 2018 Brand New.

Abhi around 20 months huye hein, meri car ka Fuel Pump fail ho gya in my city, due to which mjhe kafi problem face karni pari in high traffic.

Anyways, I got it replaced for RS 4000.

I wanna know new car ka fuel pump fail honey ki kia wajah ho sakti hai?
And is there any precautions which I can take to prevent this type of issue again?

Fuel within tank also cool down fuel pump. If you run car with low fuel quantity. It will damage pump in long run. My friend has to change vitz fuel pump three times in period of two years.

Toyota is doing a recall for faulty fuel pumps in 2018 and 19 models. Your car might have had the faulty fuel pump thats why it failed. Go to the dealership and they will replace your fuel pump for free.
I just had the fuel pump of my Altis Grande replaced two weeks ago. They just check if its a 2018 or 19 model and replace it for free, no questions asked.

This is very common issue with Corolla. I had three corollas in last 10 years and and out three, I had fuel pump/filter issue with two of them (Gli 2010 & Xli 2014). I am very particular about petrol pumps and always use good rated pumps. My Xli fuel pump failed on M2 and I have to buy from Rest area looters, had to replace that too after 3 weeks.

All you can do is keep your fuel tank always above half periodically keep checking condition of filter...

Fakhir - Can you give more details of this recall, their ad says vehicles manufactured up to June 2019 but on Sales Certificate only year of manufacture is written.

It is according to the chassis number of your car. Take your car to dealership. Agar us list mein hoi tou they will change

You just have to call any Toyota dealership and tell them your car's Chassis number and every dealership have got the list of Chassis Numbers of cars from Toyota Indus Motors, which are eligible for free replacement of Fuel pump, they will tell you whether your car's Chassis is in the list or not, if your car's Chassis is in the list, then your car is eligible for FREE fuel pump replacement, all you have to do is to book an appointment and then go for that FREE replacement.

Toyota is recalling 2018 to 2019 model car for free replacement of their faulty fuel pumps. Today I got this replacement while sending the car for service only on toyota central. They called and after approval replaced the company fitted fuel pump.
