I apologize for never coming back to this thread to share updates. I guess party because I was so over it.
I ended up selling the car soon after restoring it. The entire restoration process drained me and I lost my excitement for the project. I guess that's just what happens when you end up with the wrong crew working on your car.
It all started out as a small project, they said they were going to take days but then days turned into weeks and weeks into months and it ended up costing me a hefty amount with a labor that would black mail me and stop working on my car until they were paid upfront.
It was a just a bad time. After the car body work was finished, the engine blew a gaskit and that ended up costing me another fortune and weeks hunting for a good engine replacement so it was exhausting and I grew tired of it.
Looking back, I have regrets, things that I would do different now that I have learnt a lot.
E.g. I'd never start a project unless I had enough money to bring it to the best workshop in town and see it through the finish line. Workshops like seven brothers or smart services where I just know that they're going to take care of my car and I won't have to worry about a thing. They'll do everything for me as far as the bodywork is concerned.
Anyways, It's about time that I brought this chapter of my life to a close and finish this thread.
Thank you for all your support throughout the journey.
Have a great one, Y'all! You guys are the best!
