My Experience of the new Swift

the swift served us really well in these recent floods - there was a lot of water and it didn't stall even once- i guess we drove it sensibly, ie, kept accelerating when the silencer was submerged in water. the credible thing is that no water entered the car at any point. And this is a pak suzuki product which we expect to fall into pieces

here are a few pics of the water situation right infront of our house last week.
the encircled part is a footpath that has been completely submerged- gives u an idea of the depth of water - and the swift survived!! there's not even that odd screeching sound we hear from the engine when our cars go through water of this depth.

PS: saw a guy push his new jaguar XJ through this same water . and alot of cars were stalling- mostly 660cc JDM imports , unfortunately couldn't take pics of those cars.

got the car tuned and serviced today... my mechanic had noticed that the car veered towards the left when driven on a smooth surface so i got the camber sorted out today.

got the car washed and polished too. please tell the service guys NOT to wash the underneath of the car with diesel . even the suzuki wash guys do this. strange.

The '10 swift has been driven 86,000 kms and is still an enjoyable ride.
However we forget that it's a manual at times.
We are planning to sell it in 2 months and buy an auto swift. We had the option of a 1.5 city aspire but in my opinion it doesn't have value for money ( 19 lacs plus and you don't get an immobilizer, suspension is worse than swift and seats are uncomfortable )
We already own an auto swift and we love it.

People are buying GLI 1.3 auto for almost 20 lacs which is also not value for money. But Aspire 1.5 is much better option than GLI 1.3 auto.

Anyway, you can consider Aspire 1.5 manual or Toyota Aqua in this range.

Yes, suspension is not very good. But i'm ok with it. Handling is too good. The only concern which i have is the seats of Aspire are not comfortable.

Salam dear friends.. i m searching for almost one month and want to decide one among, brand new swift 2015, vitz 2012 and brand new City 2015 1.3 Manual with fog lights and spkerz etc..
My two major requirements....
Max 8000 to 10000 km per year..(included 3 to 4 times on high ways)
daily running 13-18km..
I only need AC chillllllleddd..(living in karachi)
petrol not issue..

i drove all these...
it cost me:
Swift 1.3 dlx....13,80k with complete registration etc.(peace of mind...built quality ...pickup is good...parts available...Ac is average) but after viewing lots of threads regarding comparison and so...4 out of 10 views are against swift!!! i don't no y
City 1.3 manual..16,10k with complete registration etc...(just for dikki/diggi...i am paying 2,30k more from swift)
vitz 2012 auto.....13,50k..(built quality,drive and comfort is excellent....risk of being thaghna bhi is on extremely higher side...maintenance cost is high)..
i will be switching from Coure to one of these.. due to AC n comfort..etc

keeping in view of the above facts what u guys will suggest me...for what to go???

2)swift(no trouble for next three years good AC lot better than coure and fuel average is satisfactory 11-12 km/ltr)

Well I don't want to start war once again but please don't call vitz over priced , it got too many features than swift and city and along with good ac , only problem is of finding a clean ride , I have vitz 1.0 variant and except power it got every thing , car is genuine,,,

Brother you're lucky to get a genuine car.
I bought a 660 cc JDM and I decided not to buy an imported second hand car .
No doubt it was above its competitors in ever segment nothing beats a brand new car
