My experience with my new Honda City Aspire 1.5 Prosmatic

Hi All,

I am starting this thread to post my experience with Honda City Aspire 1.5 prosmatic in white color. I sold my Baleno and after a lot of reading PakWheel I decide to purchase this beast. On the second of November 2013 I paid payoder to Honda Center Pindi and they promised to deliver it on Monday and the good thing is they kept the promise and I got it on Monday 4th of November 2013. Many thanks to Honda center Rawalpindi for fastest delivery. For registration they said the papers will reach here in a week then I can start that process. On the other hand utility package was not available and they asked me to get it after a week.
Till today I drove it around 200km and its showing 12.5 average on the meter. As this is my first automatic car I am love in it. First day my left foot keep searching for the clutch and my left hand tried to shift the gear but now am used to this. Its cabin is quite and multimedia are awesome. I liked the autoconnection of the phone and its hassle free call receiving and sending. I liked the three seat belts at the back seat as I have three kids all are happy now:).

I had to wait for almost a month to get my ride delivered but I got invoice and authority letter with the delivery. I am assuming the car that is delivered to you is probably an old manufactured one on open invoice that is why they asked for a weeks time to get you an invoice. What is the manufacturing date written on your windscreen ?

We got our ride in few days after booking but took another week for papers. Its normal.
May be delivery of your car was delayed and you got both together.

Date on wind screen is 31/10 which is one day before I booked.

A Lot of Congrats on d Purchase.

i am having no Prob with my Aspire Xcept Fuel Economy. i drive with Lite Foot, its 2000 km done but Fuel Economy will not go Above 10 any way on d Meter & in Reality it is around 8km/l . its tooo Baaad. i am so much Frustrated yar. MIne is Prosmatec.

i read on anothr thread that may be the Oily Air Filter is the Problem Plus also to check for Wheel Balancing & Allingment.

Civic 1.8 Prosmatec is better than 8kmpl ...it is 10kmpl with heavy foot and 11+ kmpl with ECO ON

Yup its become a continues headace for me. i will have that sticky AIR Filter change & Get Balancing & Allingment done & will see what happens after 5000 km CHekup at 3S. if after that still it doesn't improve... I will have tomove to something Else with heavy Heart. Bro 8km/l used to be Reborn's Economy with heavy Foot & that was 1.8 !!!!

I like your colour choice but if I could afford it, I would buy a manual one. More fun to drive and better fuel economy. I presently own a 2013 Honda City 1.3 manual but it feels under powered. I used to own a Civic 1.5l 1995 model and even on CNG it felt more powerful than my present City. Even the fit and finish of the Civic were better even after 17 years of loving use.

But like I said before, I hope you and your kids enjoy your new car!

But like I said before, I hope you and your kids enjoy your new car!

Before this all of my cars were manual, but believe me automatic is more fun. You only have to concentrate on driving leaving worries of gear shift.

Within city all depends on your driving style. You need to percept ahead and do not apply breaks or accelator abruptly. Mine is giving between 12 and 13 within the city, though not have a chance to take it on the highway. In my previous car Baleno which I drove entirly on petrol I noticed that petrol from few pumps gives better economy like I always refuel it from the F-10 shell pump which gave me good economy. Whenever I refilled it from total it was a waste of money and fuel burnt insanely.
I beleive you need to figureout best petrol pump and adopt fuel friendly driving style. Have a good day and enjoy your ride.

Consult somebody who has a grip over this issue ... after thinking ..I went for insurance but I also try to give sadqa every now and then !

Brother you are so right, even vtec & i-vtec was introduced By Honda to be fuel efficient at low rpm. !!! so where the hell is i-vtec working in my Aspire Even its Prosmatec , it should still be atleast 10 in City. I am Spending on fuel as i am Enjoying 1.8 reborn But its a Damn Aspire 1.5

Yes , i reside in Rawalpindi, always fill my Cars tank from SHELL Sadar near PC hotel. That is the Best in town. though i noticed 1ncw i used 7:3 Normal to Hi-Octane, i got an instant reading of 12.8-13 km/l on the on-board Fuel calculator
