My experience with my new Honda City Aspire 1.5 Prosmatic

Brother you are so right, even vtec & i-vtec was introduced By Honda to be fuel efficient at low rpm. !!! so where the hell is i-vtec working in my Aspire Even its Prosmatec , it should still be atleast 10 in City. I am Spending on fuel as i am Enjoying 1.8 reborn But its a Damn Aspire 1.5

Do check it carefully on lond drive as well. New Car consume little more fuel during breakin period ..but it shouldn't be this much !!

Wese people had complains with 1.3 City auto consumption as well .... one of my friends has 1.3 auto and according to him realistic figures for fuel consumption is 9-11 kpl inside city

PS. His car is 24,000km driven , 2009 model

engines can be washed but with heavy caution, preferably tape the alternator fuse box etc, and still be caustous

9th Gen Civic has following mileage: -

City: 9-16 (Depending upon type of city and driving habbit)
Highway/Motorway: 14-20 (Mostly depends on Driving Style and Habits)

Congratulation on you honda city aspire 1.5 prosmatec. makes us brothers i bought mine on my birthday 12th november 2013

its honda city 1.5 aspire prosmatec and i bought colour BLACK (its a pain in the **** to keep it clean) but i manage to do it.

the ride itself is pretty lovely. i too never had automatic car before and my parents always kept manual civics and corolllas.

i had option to buy between altis automatic and city 1.5 aspire prosmatec. but i chose city because in islamabad cotolla get stolen in a second. three of my friends lost their GLI corolla this year

so i wanted to secure my investment as i have heard honda city is a nightmare for people who steal cars as its not piece of cake to breach.

second the multimedia system is pretty good BUT

RIDE IS VERY BUMPY AND LEATHER SEATS ONLY LOOK COMFORTABLE BUT ARE HORRIBLE :((( sorry to say. i have this car for a month now and specially the back seats are like a metal bench of a park. the rides pretty bumpy but as i use it in islamabad its not that bad
(any clues which tire should i get to make it a bit smooth) ?

i am getting mileage of 13.6 in isb. i use it very gently i am a wuss when it comes to driving fast

The best part of this car is that it has back vents so you may call this car (INTERCOOLER) i liked the fact that the driver seat and passenger seats have 2 ac/heating fan ducts underneath for back seats comfort which my grandmother absolutely enjoy when she sits at the back for her weekly medical check up :D:DD:D ( But she complains alot abt horrible so called leather seats in the back)

any clue how city leather seats can be improved?

overall its a decent car and a treat for a 23 year old like me

if your buying it for your parents NO. if you are buying it for yourself to take your friends and your girlfriend for a ride thn YES SIR. This car has proper power. 1.5 engine is nicely done. i find this car far better thn my fathers 9th gen civic because city is compact and fits everywhere and has no un-necessary bumper extension/shapes which could get a bump everyday. (Suspension is hard and is proper racing suspension) my cousin own a mercedes e-class amg and when he changes the car mode to sport the cars suspension turn to hard . thats exactly how honda city suspension is 365 days of the year

Seats are horrible. back seats are absolutely disgusting and no comfort. front seats are bit better thn back seats because of bucket design it holds you right but back seat, my grandmother and my mother if i have to drop thm or take them somewhere they tell me why do i own a bench at the back of the car :///

Dear, MPG will surely improve after the first oil change. But for now, just check Tyre pressure which should be 32 psi in all tires (company recommend 32 in front tires & 30 in rear), see the air filter and get fuel from Total or any well reputed pump or add HOBC of Rs 1000 in a tank (will cost you only 125 Rs extra). The car also shows you the driving style in the its digital meter,,observe it and keep driving.
Moreover, I've installed Michelin 195/60 R15 XM2, my aspire is giving me 12-13 in city and 17.5 km per litre during my routine long drive between Isb and Mirpur AK. Insha Allah it will surely improve after the first oil change at 5000 km (get fully synthetic Honda oil). I'm hopeful that MPG will touch 22 km with AC and 24 km per litre without AC on long drives. City driving depends on traffic and the route you are travelling, consequently the average maintained or speed maintained.
