first of thanks to pakwheel forum for providing very valuable tips which been posted time to time on the portal in context of buying used and imported cars. i am today posting my recent experience with a used vitz.
Here are few tips i gained reading forum and experience it personally.
1- always ask for the auction sheet or chasis number when u are in process of buying. no auction sheet or ain baienn shayyin.. simply walk away. don't fall for the trickery of words.
2- Always get auction sheet verified from pakwheels or any other reliable source. thanks to pakwheel auction sheet verification facility which really saved me millions. search the fault codes mentioned on auction sheet. ( know u are spending good amount of money it doesn't cost much to spend couple of hrs understanding AS codes)
3- take it to any authorised mechanical service center in your city which give you atleast 150+ point checking facility ( this is subjective if not sure go for pakwheel and there are onspot vics car inspection services based on your location)
4- never give token money before checking above mentioned points.
Now a word of caution to buyers for ad ref# 2348313 chassis number KSP130-2038085. That seller is complete fraud. His car as per auction sheet was a seriously damaged car which was completely rebuild in pakistan. he refused to accept this. i took him to local workshop. they said everything other than bonnet and roof is non genuine. its been severely tempered mechanically needless to say including odometer. He still refused to accept this instead he start threatening the mechanic saying my uncle is in ISI. i told him i am paying for inspection don't worry let's take it to another shop of your choice but he ran away.
kindly do not waste your money on this ad until you know what you are doing. i have already reported this to pakwheels. hopefully this is beneficial to others who might be interested in this car.
