this is infact Mazda MX-6..... just different sheet metal and Ford monograms doesn't make it Ford!

Ford did some Niche marketing technique with Mazda..... this Probe is based on Mazda MX-6 not MX-5 (Miata) u showed in the pix.... The engine, chassis albeit the whole platform was used from Mazda, the difference was the exterior design and Ford badge... thats the truth nothing but the truth!

when this Probe was introduced..... Ford had share in Mazda.... but now Mazda is owned by Ford!

you guys should agree with salarzae.ford probe and mazda mx-6 have the same mazda engine.i was looking into getting one but got an accord instead .the ford probe i was looking at was a GT edition.but having a 6 cylinder automatic tranny it was not that fast. i think it was only 164hp.but i heard they r pretty fast with 5 speed tranny.so guys ford probe=mazda mx-5
