Karrahi normally doesn't have onions but one can use half or 1 onion to make more gravy.

Its Good to give ladies some rest and take over kitchen once in a blue moon

One of the way to avoid onion tears is to cut from sides first. Just like you would cut an apple. Discard the center part or cut it at the end. It won't work 100% but there is a considerable difference as the bulb in the center of onion has those fumes that cause tears

Get That 8" Deep Belly Knife Which Is Blade Sharp.. ( Sharpening Is Another Of Things Which 90% Ppl Avoid)

Put On Chopping Board And Simply CUT It Pro way...You Can Dice Or Make Long Cuts As Needed

Trust Me Its Easy...Saves Your Finger from Cuts and If You Have Proper Knife And Cutting Board.. You That Do That In Half Or Faster Compared To Conventional way Of Dadi Amma Piyaaz Cutting

Yes i cannot work without a cutting board, i wonder how ladies at home cut without it. Perhaps in old times, there were no shelves in kitchen and ladies would sit down to work in kitchen so may be for them it was easier that way.
You can cut whatever way you like, my point was to cut the center part in the end, this avoids the tears to an extent.

Give Them Everything But They Still prefer to use blunt knifes which cut their thumbs deep and later come complaining lol

weeks after i sharpen knife's i need to put band-aid quiet almost daily on my her thumb . they like it sharp but eventually cut themselves too.

slowly now learning to work on chopping board which magically save their fingers

even New Gen 80% usually don't use it as it need to be cleaned taken care of and need specific skills to clean , care and sharpen knife (not all have hubbies with sharpening skills or taking interest in kitchen/cooking stuff) so they simply choose the easy way out..

with blade sharp knife .. if you loose your concentration and watch Star plus saas bahu stuff and Vlogs on TV /mobile while cutting with such sharp knife....you can loose finger....so new gen also avoid....infact new gen usually avoid cooking...

they prefer use of mobile app to order food more

Chopping board is a must - The knife to thumb is not just Pakistani and Indian women, all chinese women do that too.

While on chopping board - you can cut 2 kg onions in fine dice cut in about 10 minutes (going at speed)
