actually my pocket is not allowing to price of new nav. so i have decided to take N95 & use it as nav.

can u explain me little that how can i load map into ot & how can i use it as nav.( i have neved used N95 before)

Are there no other files with img extension?

Well my earlier reply has details about the map file types on Garmin devices or memory card.

Just download Pakistan map from the Pkmaps (in the link given) and copy that gmasupp.img to your GPS memory's Garmin folder. Then do not forget to select the map from the menu:)

Thanks brother. I just placed the gmasupp.img file on Garmin folder in the unit drive as well as SD card and unit started navigating.

Can you please also advise why my unit is only showing to cities to navigate? (a) Gilgit and (b) Narowal...

Not sure why, may be map is copy in two location. Try to select one map. Disable one of the map by renaming the img extension as bak or something and then try.

You would require a mobile phone with built in GPS and av out.

This is how i use my mobile for navigation. I am not driving the car it is in the garage i have set the navigator to route simulation to show you guys how it works. the grey wire is coming from the back of the garmin unit. I hide these wires in the dashboard after setting the destination.

The touch command will not work on DVD monitor (dashboard display unit) as its only a repeater of the video output from the mobile set. All commands including the touch command could be given through the mobile set, if competible.

Screen is touch panel itself but it works with the dvd functions.

I think touch-screen function of DVD unit will only work if the in-built GPS is used, in this case, GPS of mobile set is being utilized.

At last after lot of research able to install Garmin XT on my Nokia N78 and its working fine

dear I've downloaded the Garmin 2008 version, but unable to install:(. plz help me. i've installed it in my memory card and when i launch the Garmin xt then first it gives warning, and then gives the option to select language. and then it stop there. no language can b selected and it stops there.
