no i didn't change the power steering fluid, was there a need to change it? as the level is correct anyway you had already changed it before

its pretty simple, the car had a japanese pop up dvd nav installed, it required dvdrom and was useless here, i simply used this mount on top of it, the screen was already power adjustable anyway the iPad was simply mounted on it, and the cars existing player had a cassette option so i ordered one of those cassettes that have a aux wire and it was the highest quality one there is absolutely no distortion, and i ran the wire through the side of the cassette closing door of the original mercedes player so its hidden and i can control volume via steering controls. iPad also has Siri etc for skipping music and i have PTCL Charji for a very fast data connection in car so navigation etc all works and theres a whole host of possibilities,

plus more importantly the sound is so more better than using a fm transmitter and the position of the original dvd nav was perfect, iPad looks like its integrated rather than mounted on windshield or somewhere else

ill post some daylight pics as well as a video showing the sound quality now,i had considered finding a cd changer for it but coudnt and ripping apart the whole thing and installing aftermarket would not have been wise anyway to let people mess with the wiring and fitting plus it kinda looks cool in person

even if i had somehow managed a permeant dedicated mount i coudnt possibly leave the device in the car, and it would have looked ugly when the iPad would not have been placed, with this it looks just as it did before without the iPad too

Please be careful regarding the use of such cassette having aux wire, once i tried the same and a it got stuck in the player, got too much worried for that but thanx god that one day i was driving on bumpy road and that cassette came out automatically, if dere is any error which comes on screen during use dont use this.

yes, i Changed it when i replaced the rack n pump, the Mechanic said use Atf for 5000km as a test that dere is no leakage in the assembly. As the rack n power pump both were replaced. The car's oil level was ok till in my possession. I hope it remain InshAllah.

whenever u Go to INH again or shahnawaz, Purchase a liter of central hydraulic fluid, the common available in Market is Pentosin CHF, if u don"t get it from anywhere i e shahnawaz or INH. Then go to Yadgar On main defence Road. The guy is totally a fraud kind of man but he is having the product. He usually tells the double price almost like if he says 4k, you must have bargain to 2k or 2.5k.

See from net how to change the oil, remove the shield. there is a drainage nut dere, open it and drain the previous one, tight the nut to a reasonable torque. Place the shield back. it needs almost 0.75 liter of oil. Refill it with newone.

Apart from detailing get some know how about the mechanical jobs, it a great task for you and quite knowledgeable too.

And i again want tp mention that dere is no need to change the gear oil, its only 1k driven hardly when i handed over the car to you, thats the original MB oil. Spent more than 30k on that job, the pan filter and sump are fitted with a great care, much more than any INH guy do.

when i read that u changed the engine oil, it literally hurts, that oil costed almost 14000 to me, i did all such thing from my limited pocket money and savings.

I m not a music freak thats y didnt installed any cd changer etc, I use to listen Nusrat fateh ali khan or Recitation nothing else, so modulator was enough for me, but i u want a cd changer. The oem one is Available at Popular Auto, Montgomery road. Again the bargaining rule applies dere

yeah if you leave the door open the error comes up and it beeps, i read on international forum that if you route the wire thorught the lower right hand side then no error and door closes at it should, plus i ordered a cassette with a thin wire and its working fine

@haroon_1 which ATF is in the steering system now? the MB ATF?does the system need to bleed also after change or not? after buying a car thori but personalisation like preferred oils to hoti hai, i wish you would have told me about power steering fluid before, i would have gotten it changed, now will make a trip to INH or shahnawaz and get it changed, yes i do want to know more about mechanical jobs especiallys DIYs, that was the whole reason behind buying the pajero mini

bro, there are even w204 merc having caltex atf in there steering systems. It works perfectly fine. I am just saying cz as far as i know u want the car in high perfections thats y if u spent couple of lacs on other things just spend two thousand more here.

It dont need to ne changed as even INH guys use atf INH guys use Atf in steering assembly.

But if u go to pefections then use Pentosin CHF amd change the radiator fluid with glacentine coolant, changed when i bought but change again, because once the mechanic wasted some amount while changing the power pump, he removed the hose..

Remember, dese both jobs are just for perfection and art of maintaining a vehicle. They are not necessary for the vehicle. This one is having a rack without sensors, and it doesnot need that fluid even but u may change it.

and the bleed is only required in the cooling system not in steering assembly.

and doubt you hardly driven more than 500km. so i doesnot even effect if dere is an engine oil in the power steering oil bottle

once i seen a person, getting oil change of Lc200 series which was hardly 10k driven. he was using 20w 50. i think pso one or any cheaper brand like that.

he owns A 20 million vehicle, but dont have for an oil change and the vehicle u have is far less valuable but properly maintained with great care from day one

dont change the rear diff oil, its perfect.

yes, there is a lot of coolant inside the system. But change it because it looks good when new, i always change coolant of my vehicles after couple of thousand kms.

okay thanks for the info, ill see about power steering but would leave the coolant as honestly i don't even trust INH guys with much now so not unnecessarily mess with it as its not going to be driven that much anyway
