I am finally back after completing what i started. Sorry to those who've been waiting impatiently with me for the project to complete.
Firstly , let's list the ingredients for this recipe:
Toyota Fortuner headlights for KOITO BI LED PROJECTORs(2018)
DRL setup from the same lights as above
Honda's OEM blue shroud from Honda Odyssey headlights
Brand new TYC Honda City headlights
History:
Let's get started on some details: 3 months back i thought of upgrading my cars lighting to an OEM LED setup. I was happy with my hid setup but i just wanted a change , possibly because i love the instant light output of an LED setup. I started searching for OEM LED setups but couldn't decide on anything. At this point, i contacted the one and only person i knew who could've helped me from A - Z and he's none other then @KeiWorks12 .
We started brainstorming and searching for different LED setups and to cut it short we decided to go for KOITO BI LED projectors.
Ibad assured me about their output being pretty decent and he's the one who searched and found out almost new headlights of TOYOTA FORTUNER 2018 model for my project.
He salvaged the projectors and DRL with great care and he's the one who pushed me to go for a DRL RETROFIT. I always thought of it as a long shot and never encouraged him to do it. My main aim was a perfectly done koito bi led setup but he kept on giving me ideas and kept on pushing me as well and all the credit for this DRL RETROFIT goes to ibad.
I sent my old lights to Ibad after removing all the hid stuff and installed my brand new lights lying in store ( coming back to halogen was a terrible experience gentlemen and i stopped driving this car because if those terrible oem halogen lights) .
SHROUDS :
Project got stalled multiple times becaue we found it difficult to source some stuff. For the projectors we needed shrouds and i selected Honda's OEM blue shrouds which came in Honda Odyssey. Ibad showed me multiple options for shrouds but i fell for these blue shrouds instantly and if we hadn't been able to source these blue shrouds this project would have been closed there and then . He made the effort and sourced complete Honda Odyssey headlights for me from where we took out brand new shrouds for my lights.
Installing these shrouds on KOITO projectors wasnt an easy job at all in Honda City headlights but all work was done very neatly by Ibad.
Projector Orientation was one thing which had me worried because once the shrouds and projectors were mounted there was no chance to straighten the orientation but this guy Ibad once again proved that he's the best of the best when it comes to retrofitting.
NEW HEADLIGHTS:
We decided to purchase brand new TYC ( Taiwan) headlights for my car. I wanted a clear brand new look from the front and the lights i had had some slight dullness to them which wasn't acceptable to me at all. I replaced the glass and kept the body of my old headlights as it was perfectly fine.
DRL RETROFIT
Installing the DRL was a real challenge and it took alot of time. Considering the space we decided to use 4 modules from Fortuners DRL setup . They were also looking decent aesthetically. 5th module and the led strip was cut from the rest of the setup . ( I don't know how IBAD cut it though:-P) DRL had to be sealed and seated very professionally because the intense light coming from the drls could've lightened up the whole headlight but as OEM as we could've gotten we sealed the drl from all sides so that the light should only be leaving out from the front and no where else. Both the DRL setups were installed in a very precise manner and aesthetically they were placed on the best area of these lights.... Just exactly where i wanted them. All thanks once again to ibad ..also, the DRL driver works well with both the parking(dull) and full bright mode. It's controlled by a switch which i placed right next to the fog lamp switch.
We had to remove some parts of the reflectors as they were not needed anymore and also because we needed to make some space for shriud, projectors and the DRL setup.
All the remaining internals were painted in matt black to give the lights an aggressive look except for one tiny part of reflector and the shrouds ofcourse.
FROSTED AMBER PARKINGS:
The lights were completely redesigned from the inside. New
Shrouds, projectors, DRLS and not to miss the amber bulbs which were installed in the pre existing parking lights. After installing the DRLS parking bulbs weren't needed but i didn't want to waste the space and instead installed amber incandescents over there. On my request Ibad gave them a frosted look which resulted in a more uniform amber look from the sides. Incandescents were used to keep the lights dull as i didn't want them to overshadow the DRLS. At the end, the combined look of dull amber with front white DRLS mesmerizes me Everytime i turn on my parking lights.
WIRING:
Using Honda Odyssey lights gave us a very clear advantage. We used lots of OEM parts from those lights as they were a good fit for Honda City headlights. Lights had the same size back cover and 2 grips were installed on each side for DRL and the PROJECTORS . This was as OEM as possible as the grips were taken out fron Honda Odyssey lights. I just had to plug in the wiring harness in them and voila. Lovely work done once again Ibad, i don't know how you make it look so easy.
First we decided to connect tHE DRL with the ignition wiring to keep it as oem as possible but i backed out of it eventually and Ibad give me the idea of a.seperate switch installed to control the DRL to bypass the ignition completely. Obviously, that's what i did!
Installation:
I removed my old lights myself and installed these myself because of COVID-19. It's been 3- 4 days now , i can't drive my car much but i do want to get out and flaunt my new lighting setup.
Light output:
Light output is perfect and i hope people won't kill me for saying this but it's brighter then my older hid setup .

This was my KOITO BI LED RETROFIT alongwith DRL retrofit in honda City headlights. I don't know if anyone has done this in Pakistan in a honda city.
If so please come forward otherwise I'll take the title of 1st retrofit of this kind in a honda city.
