So guys i have been using the Honda Fit for more than a month now and i think its time for a detailed review of this little ride
Exterior
The 2013 new shape fit has a sportier look with pronounced body design showing lines and wide body. The one thing which drove me towards this car was its LOOKS. Not everyone is going to like it though as it may seem FAT when one looks from the back but overall it does turn heads as you stroll down the streets or highway. Its kinda muscular in a way lol.
There is large area occupied with the glass. Rear Door glass has privacy window as does hatch glass. Front screen has blue color glass coating to protect from sun glare. The front of the car is beautiful and gives aggressive looks. F comes without Fogs lights and LED head lamp
( I'm trying to source these two items )
The car comes with standard wheels covers which seems ok, doesn't look too bad actually.
Interior
The interior is very nicely built i must say. There is loads of space in the front and especially the back seats. The lumbar support is GONE which i kinda miss but there is no doubt these seats are comfortable bucket styles keeping the passengers all snug and safe. 2 standards air bags come equipped. The material used in the dash and trim is of good quality and doesn't look or gives away CHEAP vibe.
The MAGIC SEATS this is 60/40 split rear bench is nice i mean i can put a big samsonite in the back easily and rest in the cargo trunk space. We are three family members so my daughter's stuff can be easily accommodated ( which is a lot
) There is so much space for rear passengers that with three adults in the back there was no issue whatsoever. The roof clearance is good. There are few cup holders and storage cabin and a center console box to accommodate items. The Dash material is nice and does not shine or glare in direct sun light a problem i has in my previous premio even new GLi auto has chrome parts shine/glare like crazy and i just hate it. Cabin noise is minimal ( wind noise explained below)
Performance
The 1.5 Earth Dream engine is great and growls when in S mode and leaves most cars in dust lol
The ride remains very stable even at 160 which i acheived few times and there is absolutely no vibration or sense of loss of control MashaaAllah. The ECO mode takes some getting use to as power is not available mostly and most people will get frustrated as why the car doesnt accelerate when floored. Normal hybrid drive mode is a pleasure to drive which is use mostly and get max mileage with. My last full tank lasted 1011km i think at an avg of 28km/l MashaaAllah with Ac and these days im getting around 25km/l as im done testing and driving my normal style. S mode awakens the little beast and most Cow/Altis/City owners look with amazement what just happened
Suspension and Ground Clearance
Shifting from Premio i had the fear im not going to like Honda suspension but to my surprise its very good and soft for a hatch, eats up most small road bumps and doesnt break the back like Honda City does. From lahore to Sadiqabad i was very comfortable through out the 9 hr drive. The Big Q was ground clearance and im very happy that at standard 185/15 with 5 people the car does not hit normal or slightly awkward speed bumps. Havent tested a nasty one yet. Im using Dunlop tyres which are working nicely to keep the ride smooth and less bumpy.
WHAT I DONT LIKE
Wind Noise
A high speeds especially when there is windy situations there is noise of wind bashing the front screen.
Touch Screen NAV/DVD
the reason for this is i have to keep eyes off the road to change audio---> getting a new unit/steering controls in next few weeks
Headlights
Too low on low beam, even with headlight adjustment button its low. High beam is Fine
Overall Impression ( out of TEN )
Performance 9
Comfort 8.5
Exterior Styling 9
Interior Design 9
Value for money 8.5
Economy 10
I hope you guys like this little review i will try to post more as time passes
