Can you please let me know if its possible to get cruise control on my Honda Fit Hybrid GP5 2013 Model F Package? It doesn't have factory fitted cruise control but seeing the above parts and modifications, it seems that i can get it on my car. Is it possible? Are there any post installation issue or maintenance costs? Thank you.

Hi All,

I live in Ireland and bought a 2014 GP5 Fit Hybrid (Japanese Import) a year ago. My transmission was a little jerky so I went to a mechanic here and got the transmission oil changed. This car is extremely rare here and the mechanic changed the oil after watching a Youtube video. The oil change has made the transmission worse, the car lurks forward now randomly and the gear shifts are very rough. I had a look at the manual that came with the car and it says that transmission oil used should be Honda ATF-DW1. The mechanic used the Mannol ATF CVT engine oil which mentions it is equivalent to Honda HMMF. He told me that it is the EU equivalent of ATF-DW1 (ATF-DW1 is not available here).

There is no warning light on the dashboard yet and ODO reading is 132k KMs. I was wondering if you guys know if the oil is the problem here or if there is anything else I need to do. Any help would be really appreciated.

A few things are important when it comes to the GP5 DCT.
Oil type - I don’t think HMMF is the appropriate oil. Read many times in this forum.
Oil Qty - I think it is 1.4 L but pls search in the forums for this. Most places including local Honda 3S overfill.
Actuator fluid - This is for the gear actuators and separate from the transmission fluid. It should be changed every 20k km or anytime you feel the transmission is overheating and acting up.

Then first step should be to get the right quantity and the type.
Next you should get the actuator fluid changed as well. Get these done quickly and It should make the difference without any permanent damage.

I just read the entire forum, and it seems that you loved this car. I got the 2014 Fit GP5 S-Package about 2 weeks ago, for 25 lac, and I'm loving it so far. The fuel average you are getting is amazing. I am currently getting around 20.2 km/l (pictures attached). I try to be as gentle as possible with the peddal, but sometimes I do floor it​. How do I improve the average tho?

I changed the engine oil (Honda's 10W-30) and the transmission oil (Honda's ATF-DW1). It's 66k driven already. Would you prefer me to change anything else? (Some people suggest changing the actuator fluid, too)

Also my tires have to be replaced. Originally, it came with 185/55/R16. What do you think is the best size to get?

Actuator fluid change is a must.
I hope you put in the right amount of transmission fluid. The type is correct but the amount also matters.
For engine oil, pls use 0w20 or 5w30 next time. Fully synthetic.
For improving average, you can have your car scanned and battery health checked. Pls also get your battery cooling fan vents cleaned.
Stick with OEM tire size for best fuel average.

Today i went to a mechanic he attached the computer and did something then a smell starts from bonnet and gears are not gonna attached
Then after sometime gear attached but this error came up

What error codes are being shown in the scanner. If you can share here, some experts at this forum can help out.
You can try to get the codes cleared and then see what new codes come up. The DCT transmission is sensitive and requires timely transmission oil change as well as actuator fluid change. Please check some posts above. Better to have both done at earliest if you don't have a history of when both were changed.
